I said I can't do hip-hop haha, it's too fluid - I need something more rigidly defined. I can standard ballroom, latin, Australian NV, a little bit of line-dance and street latin and some other stuff that doesn't fit those categories. I'd love to learn some more modern stuff, but it doesn't suit me.
Learning on youtube is never going to be the same, but it definitely more cost effective. It also depends on how much room you'd need to learn.

We have school socials, dinner dances, cruises and balls. Plenty of equivalents and more in between haha. Same stuff but different names.

Maybe that's something to do with being below the legal age (probably). I'm turning 18 (the legal age here) but I'll never be a heavy drinker really.

I never went to our equivalent of prom but I went to a year ten social once. It was hilarious watching sports coaches trying to teach people basic steps I'd known for years (especially since the school actually had dance teachers... well wrong style but would have been better that gym teachers haha).

Anyone can learn, if an instructor can't teach anyone then they need a new job.
