I think half the genius in all hail west texas is the lyrics. they're so incredible. my personal favorites are the mess inside and blues in dallas. if you liked this year check out the sunset tree (the album) -- it's way different from all hail west texas. I really only told you about all hail because it was lo-fi (and a lot of people consider it their best) but the sunset tree is also incredible and more lush and orchestral. it's gr8. hope you're enjoying guided by voices. 8)

I went out to eat and went to a concert afterwards lol. It was a really good time (Despite waiting in line for an hour and a half in 30 degree weather and I had class the next day), probably the best birthday I've had since I was younger. I got FOUR for my bday so I was super happy with that too.

yOoOoOoO "so good at being in trouble" is awesome but I haven't heard the rest of the album. maybe I will do that. hope you enjoy those two though, I've been getting so into the mountain goats the past week or two and I wish I could have been in guided by voices

omfg waste yrself is lovely. i often walked around my neighborhood at night to that album in the summer. it was fun I'd recommend it. very important band for me goddam. my favorite songs on it are haunt me, everything is going to hell, and benzo probably. oh gotcha! How long does it usually stay charged? :o like how many hours? My battery is really good! It's 3000mah and lasts me about 3 days if I just text/tweet/use it minimally and about a day and a 1/2 if I play games all the time. I charged it last night, turned it on at 7:30 this morning before class, been playing a few games/roamed on twitter and it's still at 77%. Maybe you can get a battery extension since you can't update for a few years? It sucks when your battery drains like crazy. It's amazing! It has everything you could ever want and Times Square is amazing. My group and I went every night we were there. So many cute guys, so many good shops for anything you want, such good food. Only bad thing was the smelly subways but that can be made fun. It's a must go place! My family and I visited the Grand Canyon (on horse back, it was amazing!) and that's as close as we got to cali :( We didn't know it was only a few miles out from where we were lol. oooo now you make maryland sound interesting! did they have a lot of boating and fishing there since it's on the water? oh ok that's good then! btw, since we were speaking of apps earlier, you NEED to download this game called QuizUp (if you can). it's so much fun and has quizzes in every category you can imagine from music to celebrities to biology to dogs it's so much fun omg. You get to go against people around the world and you can win little titles to show off to people. I've been obsessed ever since I downloaded it. idk if you like those sorts of games but it's hecka worth a try.
