I really want a semi-clean version. I can't relearn a new type chart as I am set in my ways. I also miss Empoleon's Water/Steel typing. Don't get me wrong, I like most of the changes so far but there's got to be another way to balance the types out.

You may have made the same mistake I did and found the (E)uropean version of the game. It should be the US version you patch.

Quick Search -> PokeTEX PokeTEX is great if not the best Sprite hacking available. We were talking about it a day ago. I just wonder if there is a program that allows you to extract and convert .poke files.

I've noticed that the text itself is the Sprite in data bytes. Could it be possible to reprogram an entirely new Sprite using the bottom half? I'm not that skilled with hacking tools but I'm sure it's possible.
