I used one of my two Master Balls on Giratina. Cresselia I caught with Ultra Ball. Giratina's time can be extended by just bringing loads of Normal/Flying pokemon, so you could probably just use Ultra and Timer balls. Also, put it to sleep is best.

Yeah, but heart scales can be used up. Still, if the pokemon i'm trying to level up isn't important, it doesn't matter if you daycare it or not. I normally use daycare ro raise weak pokemon to about level 15, then I start battle-raising them.

There's always a way to get stronger. Items, strategies, movesets, etc. You should count yourself lucky it's difficult. It's much more fun when you win!

Yes, sounds like it. I would suggest battling with the Magmar and a more common pokemon first, so you can spread it to the less rare one and trade that.

Arceus and Shaymin aren't allowed to be traded because they're probably hacked. Darkrai and Jirachi can be traded though.
