I've been wondering about pokemon clone games recently. I've looked at some, and they all have bad art, bad designs, and bad game design. DJ, I recommend you look at the browser game MonsterMMORPG (yes, that's the name), to be traumatized.

It sounds decent, but is it set in the past of the pokemon world, or just based on our world's past? Because all of the issues you mentioned have been covered in previous pokemon games already (other than identity). Also, one of my favorite things about pokemon is the grasslands, forests, ice caves, etc.. I know I wouldn't play a pokemon game with cities as the region.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it's just my opinion. Probably other people would really like it.

Lapis also tried to kill all the Crystal Gems, could have easily squashed Jasper with the ocean instead of fusing, and is overall a danger to everyone on earth.

I don't think either of them will be easy to redeem.

Why? Jasper isn't that bad. She's not working for herself, and she never tried to drown children or steal the entire ocean off the planet for a plan that she thought wouldn't even work.

I think Jasper and Peridot look great in that picture too. Totally fits their personalities!

Byronic Heroes are often basically villains who ruin people's lives but feel regret for it. So yeah, I don't really trust Lapis either.

I think Lapis is a Byronic Hero. The crew have even drawn her dressed as Dr. Frankenstein and a vampire!

The character development for everyone else has been permanent, so I'm not worried.

I really don't understand why the writers made Peridot get a crush on Amethyst, since it hasn't been a plot point yet. Why would they introduce that just to do nothing with it?

Pearl hasn't done anything shitty since "Cry For Help," so I think she's better now.
