With the seasons they've had to endure the past little while (only 2 playoff berths since the '05 lockout), I don't blame them for being so doom and gloom.

Seeing the Isles in the hunt won't be surprising, though actually making the playoffs might still be a stretch. Having seen a good number of their games last year though, they were a lot better than their record showed- losing Tavares was a big part of that. Now that they've got a good goalie and more of a supporting cast, I could definitely see them doing well.
