  • Buffalo's was a combination of trades (Miller for Halak -> Halak for Neuvirth), and injuries at the end of the season. I think they had 4 goalies on IR to end the year, so they had to call up both their ECHL goalies for the last game.

And yeah, the Isles are pretty flukey, but adding Grabovski, Kulemin and Halak should help them out this season. It wouldn't shock me to see them near the playoffs again.
Forgot that Buffalo had a goalie carousel this year, too. Looks like they had 6 goalies actually play, though I remember both Jaro Halak and Andery Makarov dressing for them, but not playing.

And I think the Isles had 1 year in that stretch where they made the playoffs, but even then that was by fluke.
    because its bad :D

    yeah that's right :P

    workaholic.

Its like...you folks got magic and science...where's the darn replicators?
    stop being mean!

    Interesting.

    Of course!

    You working again?

Well a lot of the social structures are really interesting. Why the heck are there slums?
    you eveeellll person.

    A new form of life?

darnnit is it Tuesday yet? That chapter!

But immortality isn't what its cooked up to be!
Going through all those goalies reminded me a bit of the Islanders in the recent past (think they had 12 different NHL goalies in 4 seasons), but your guys handled it a lot better. Also a different circumstance, but definitely not fun either way.
    Anti-stalking laws though.

    A trap?

    It's 2014!!!! ;__;

Yeah, where did they get all the extra magic to keep it running...more mysteries...

    TROLOLOL!
All 3 of them + Bryzgalov played very well throughout the year, it was just a matter of them staying healthy. I don't doubt Kuemper will be back to 100% for next season, but the other two might be a gamble based on their histories.
That's true, though I'd probably rather have a couple extra guys signed @ 2.5M each while prospects developed. Not that it matters now though, as aside from the injury concerns in net, the Wild are one of the scarier teams in the league.
Still surprised Minny didn't buy him out. Granted, he was alright on the PP (from what I saw), but definitely not worth that price tag. That's why those long contracts always scare me- hard to predict how long a guy will stay competitive, and it can be tough to move him the older he gets. That's probably the only reason I can stomach Kovalchuk bolting to the KHL.
    no evidence, no recordings. fake!

    Then again Kuromaru is...

    its not even 2016 yet!

Still its weird having Mars and the magical world exist at the same time.

    u jelly?
Don't know the exact day, but it's usually the second week of September.

And I can't imagine Heatley gets anything close to that on his next deal. I could see someone like Calgary or Buffalo taking a chance on him, though.
    Slander!

    The guys too? O_o

    Its absurd!

    Because science!

Now its even harder for her to die. Jeez.
If you do pick up NHL 15, let me know!

And even though we've had a whole year, I keep forgetting that Minnesota and Colorado aren't in the NW Division anymore. The Central's definitely shaping up to be one of the best in the league though, with basically everyone except Winnipeg adding some good players. And looking at Minny's roster, I'm honestly shocked they have $13+ million left in salary cap space. Not too many big names left on the market, but it wouldn't surprise me if they make 1 or 2 more notable moves.
