I just recently beat my Soul Silver. I started playing Black (I bought the game for the 3rd time, because i didn't end it) only because i want to beat it. However once i'm done with it, I'll probably trade it in for Heart Gold.

I think you need diversity in your attacks. As stated above you have two fire Pokemon. Why HO-Oh has thunder is beyond me lol. I imagine you use Ampraros to take out Gyarados and try to take out the dragonite's with your Gyarados. I taught my Typlosion rollout and he got the job done.
