    for you, it's a milestone because it's just an application of your programming learning--this is a good thing honestly, and if someone can't appreciate that you are sharing your programming with other people than they simply shouldn't be saying anything
    and the rombase patch is bullshit i bet anything you make would be better than what's currently available (specifically for fire red) because what we have is a fuckton pf glitchy messes :P
    I'd suggest you learn more about programming in general before trying to make a tool, because the answer to your question is in the official documentation.

    i have my hands full with school and have 0 time/motivation to actually do anything

    actually, i'd like to rewrite the overworld system to be better, here's a prospective list that i'd want to happen:
    - triple-layer tiles (every block)
    - make the width/length of the green s tile changeable (specify an x-value length and a y-value length)
    - make the wild pokémon not map-based (instead based off of a table and a given index)
    - maybe even add on palettes/change that system? that would be fun
    honestly i see questions about transparent textboxes all the time so it's really nice to get a repost anyways :P

    your poké ball hacking guide question...
    it appears to be a corruption in a.) the sprite itself or b.) how the sprite is handled. this ioght also be caused by the introduction of other theoretical modifications. if done on vanilla, i honestly suggest just reapplying it and seeing if it works then :P
    I don't have the offset lol
    To find the offset of a symbol, we tend to use arm-none-eabi-nm to do some ripping work, otherwise it's quite annoying to do it via disassembling- -
    Therefore recompiling this project should be a easier way, as the code size won't change for this modification.
    The offset depends on your compilation... So I can't provide the offset now. You'd better edit it in the source code and compile it at the same location.
    The particle and animation tables???
    It is very simple! (sorry for my bad english :S)
    When you use the pokeball and you throw it, start the animation of the ball:
    1) player throw the ball;
    2) open near the pokémon;
    3) special animation of this ball (es. masterball a circle of stars, etc)
    4) close ball

    In "The particle and animation tables" you edit the "3) special animation of this ball". 1 byte for 1 ball.

    "The second table" with the routine is not very simple and I don't understand how it works...BUT if you apply the first pointer of the table to the other new ball it works!

    I do have the mega evolution hack inserted on my fire red rombases but I did not change the symbol I kept the curse symbol you can ask MRDS or the creator of Pokémon Gaia
    heyo! can i actually get a fire red save from you containing the exp. share? i'm too lazy to edit the RAM in order to get one rn and would like to modify the atk23 battle script command in order to support a flag check before giving exp which checks for an exp. share's flag or smh
