D: That's a bit strange. Maybe it's the area? I guess I live out in suburbia so for the most part, there were always more academic classes than applied. I always felt so bad for the teachers who got stuck with the applied classes though because even in my area they were pretty bad. ;~; Not that I want to scare you or anything, haha.

It's a chronic condition I've had since age 16 or so. :[ I'm waiting for my referral to a pain clinic to go through and after that I should be back on track. But in the interim I'm on a lot of different medications and I decided it was better to take some time off rather than fail more terms in university because of surprise side effects :P

I wouldn't be lying if I said some of what I'm playing is just clearing out my backlog from years gone by. xD; But there are some good games out lately that aren't just rehashes! Not tons, but they exist!

I didn't really know how it worked but I guess that's why my cousin who teaches lives up in the middle-of-nowhere Saskatchewan, haha. :[ Hopefully you can catch a break and teach more honours-type classes? I'm not sure how the school system works outside of Ontario anymore but I know here at least there were two streams--"applied" (for people who suck at school and don't care) and "academic" (for the ones who cared). It was always the applied kids I refused to tutor. :[

No significant other yet, unfortunately. XD; Taking a break for health reasons, mostly. All I've been doing since then is playing video games and watching TV, pretty much. Not an exciting life but it's a nice break from "oh god assignments" or "aww man gotta wake up early for work".

aaaah. D: Don't work in a rough area; that sounds terrifying, haha.

Sometimes I think I'd like to be a teacher too, since I do love learning material and I can be a pretty good tutor when I have to be but... ugh, I cannot stand kids. XD; I know I'd get fed up and lose my passion if I tried to go down that route so I haven't.

I officially joined in July of 09, but I lurked here for a longggg time. XD Since like 2007. It's been pretty interesting to see all this history.

I'm taking a break from school right now but I totally hear ya on the unemployment thing. xD; But the world always needs good math teachers (lord knows I had enough bad ones in high school D:) so I'm sure you'll break into the scene pretty quick. :D

Maybe you were? Honestly, I don't remember when things happened in PC very well. After so many years, they all just jumble together. Maybe you had left by then. @_@ Oh well!

I quit in April of my senior year of high school back in 2007, intending to concentrate on university in the fall but I ended up coming back to the staff before the end of the year. Sometime in September I think, haha.

Besides, didn't I quit PC for a month or so back in like... 2004? I swear you were around for that!

I guess it helps that, by the time I joined, she was a regular member XD But most of the admins are similar in the way that most people can't imagine them as anything else other than staff.

From April to... I remember she got back to SA by the end of the year, so I think she asked back for AA after the summer XD

Well, we still have praetors, but their name has changed It's for a reason that the AA+ forum is called "Praetor Discussions" XD

And I'm a bit spoiled when it comes down to this because the only two forums where I'm active are over 9 years old XD

And the speed has changed a lot since then. As far as I recall, since I joined, I have only seen 8 smods (and we got 3 last summer at once), 6 AA's and the same staff/site admins all the time (the current ones + Kwesi, Mewthree and bgt, all gone now).

Edit: I lie! Blue resigned like two weeks after I joined. That day Erica also left temporarily, but she came back pretty soon anyway XD

I got smod somewhat early, one year and a half after joining... that was almost three years ago, so yeah, I'm kinda old, although time flies so quickly I sometimes don't notice :p

And I think we are the only rank who hasn't had a colour change in ages... well, maybe SA too after they decided to have just one.

I like realization by post content though...it shows that I haven't lost my goofy and quirky sense of humor over eight years even though I've done so much maturing. XD
