  • Are you interested when I update with sprites, or would you like to see my pixel art as well?
yea yellows colours are to bright ,mainly her hair, vest and mabye the hat need to be a bit more faded
Thank you I'm glad you think so, and glad to have you as a friend, I looked at HOF recently and It looks very nice also. Keep it up ;)
Hi! I'm not so busy with schoolwork, but I have a project coming up I'd have to do soon. I've been putting it off for like forever. ^^'

I haven't figured out a way to play those games on a Mac... :c

    LOLwhut? I'm cute now? xD
I need to take the ACT/SAT, it's just a matter of me looking around for the times. I keep forgetting.
I'm not really sure if there are "Ivy League" Design schools, but I do know one that's pretty elite so to say.
Savannah College of Art and Design, it has campuses in Atlanta, Georgia; Savannah, Georgia; Lacous, France; and currently making one in Hong Kong, who apparently has very strict rules about what colleges are let in there.
Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design is a close second leaning in on first. It's starting to charm me and 1) It's very small (500) 2) Still has a good reputation. 3) Is half the cost of SCAD. (SCAD ~ $27,000, RMCAD ~ $11,000)
Other ones I've looked but haven't done any digging on is the various Art Institutes of [Insert Location Here], Academy of Art University (They call me...everyday and I'm confused because I haven't given them anything to look at and I have no outstanding scores. I haven't answered because I just wanted a pamphlet! ;_; And they actually gave me a giant book of pictures...It's...weird...) , and Mephis College of Art and Design. (It's the closest to home, but still out of state.) If I get reject to all of those, which I'm pretty cocky that I won't, I'll look at in state colleges then transfers. (Arkansas isn't the biggest on education standards, especially more modern art and interactive graphic design.)
    Hey HOF,
    Thanks for the comment.
I'd been planning to set that up for a while. It will stop some of the threads that were bloating up our section.
I think it should be a nice addition.
ive uploaded yellows backsprites im working on them though(im a bit of a perfectionist)
thanx, yellows backsprite is almost complete just two more frames, i had go out before so i'll finish them now.
have thought of writing a tutorial for making a pokemon game with rpg xp ordo you know of any tutorials for them, Im thinking about doing my own game as well,
i'll start designing yellows sprites now, you said backsprite so im assuming she will be the female character
sure ive already made some backsprites front pic and overworlds just check your thread and feel free to use them
I don't have a new sprite, but a WIP. If you could offer some CC that'd be nice. I'm not liking the way my water is going.

Well this advanced into art it's not about the actual learning of techniques it's more how to structure the art, what to put in it and how innovative you can make it when everyone else is doing the same thing. I think. That's more for AD.
For 2-D it's an AP art class which means we need a concentration. Like one girl right now is doing crushed cigarette cartons. She's doing them again, and again, and again, and again. But it's not the exact same picture, you look at one thing and figure out a different way to do it.

I think so, at least what I've been told and seen. Because AP 2D and AD are taught by the same teacher and most AD kids are in AP, they kinda mesh together sometimes.

This year of Webpage Design we've learned some HTML and are touching basics of flash, dreamweaver, and fireworks, not quite on the art side, more of coding.
It's easy. The teacher asks ME for help. ._. I hope it's harder next year.

I'm technically working on my application right now. Design schools require portfolio work, even though it'll probably be outdated before too long. (That's the kind of progress I hope for.)
DX It's not like math or science. You can't cram or do it over and over till you're perfect. It really does take time to develop.
Are you applying to a lot of different colleges? (Or did you? xD) I will be applying for a few. Mostly art/design schools that offer scholarships from said portfolio. My grades aren't horrible, but they aren't spectacular. I've yet to take my ACT/SATs.
Yeah, saw that thread before. Methinks we'll be tackling that when we get up to it and all. Looks good and all, so far.

And the the first new maps are nearly done? Huzzah! Given that us writers are planning to try doing the dialogue for each map one by one all-together, then either just send them to us or provide a link to download them from somewhere in the Writer's Lounge.

And hurrah for birthdays as well. =D

Anyway, I'm fine, I suppose. In little more than a week I'll be having tests, but that's followed by the Easter holidays.
I havn't talked to her recently either, but yeah.
Really? My senior year is going to be easy I think. Well not easy but enjoyable. My previous school you need to test to get in so I was in the "Advanced Class". It was a small school so if they thought we could take it they'd give it. Because of that I have all my science classes, my math classes, social studies and I'm taking my senior english this year. (I'm not allowed to wright a senior paper because it's used to exempt semester tests because if seniors are good (grades/attendance) they exempt all tests, so it looks like I won't do one at all.)

Not easy but enjoyable. Next year I'm taking AP Psychology because I find it interesting, Transition to College Math (the only one that sucks), and a buncha art/design classes.
    Spoiler:
    <3 I know Bubblewrap! She's cute.
I'm a junior. I'm actually not busy for once. I think all the big projects are out of the way, it's just daily homework and studying for finals now.
Hehe, it's alright if you ask! Those worst I can do is say no. I've had plenty of people who those first comments were asking for a request and they usually became my friends.
The reason I know I'm bad about promises is because of previous game developers asking for sprites. I'd pop out 2 sprites quickly and they'd ask if I could do more and because I'm polite I'd always say "yes" and not get much done later because of school or no inspiration.

I don't want anyone to think I'm a haughty too-good-for-you spriter, but I'd rather not make promises I can't keep.
I make it a habit not to accept requests. .-. I have random spurts of inspiration so I normally don't keep the promises I make. If I'm in the mood it takes about 10 minutes, but if I'm not it can be ages before I finish.
