  • That's a pretty early finish to vacation. Like I know the northern hemisphere has summer until like the end of August and as far as I knew most schools there go back in August. University here starts a month later than school, not a month before. How far are you through your degree now?

Never looked inside the poetry section before. I don't write poetry in the traditional sense, but being in a band I do write heaps of lyrics, which I suppose is more or less the same thing.

Yeah not much is new with me. I've done a semester of uni in the past four months, played a few gigs and enjoyed being unemployed haha (though I'm looking for work because I'm running out of saved up money fast haha).

PC is pretty much the only forum I still frequent, apart from this website based around making CYOA stories. I used to be at a tonne of forums a year or two ago but since then I've either lost interest in them or I've just been too busy to visit often. You at many other forums?
That's freaky man - I literally just checked that email address earlier today after not looking at it for ages to see if you'd sent an email (and if I'd been rude by not having read it). Luckily you hadn't XD. But still, after like four months it's so strange that literally six or seven hours after I check you write me a VM.

Yeah, I'm still around. How are you?
It's still End of an Era.
You can make an entry if you want to.

Although, you do have a point, maybe I should just reboot it.
I am truly a lazy bum. DX
The whole poetry section itself hasn't been very active lately.
Sometime, I'll kick myself back into action.

    Wish more people would participate.
I totally agree with you. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) rose up as a role model because he possessed qualities of a true man. Most importantly, he was the founder of Islam and he was the light of guidance to the mankind regardless of facing through many difficulties and persecutions at the hands of Quraish, Jews and hypocrites who were the bitterest enemies of Islam and they really gave him and the Ummah a hard time but its surprising yet so amazing how they remained steadfast, patient and they never gave up their religion no matter how much the unbelievers attempted to torture and opress them.

Well, I have read about the Seerah in quite a lot of detail in my Islamiat course of GCE which focuses on his mission in Makkah and Madinah, his whole biography, his relationship with his companions, wives, slaves and more. Without any doubt, I believe that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent to this world as a blessed gift and his life is perfect and serves as an example for men and women. During the Holy Prophet's time in Makkah, when Muslims were drawn out from Makkah to the outskirts they had to face a complete social boycott but in spite of that, I like how Holy Prophet (PBUH) give them full strength of Emaan and hope. The Muslim Ummah tolerated the situation and obeyed Holy Prophet's (PBUH) commands and therefore, he is truly a great leader of the muslim community. Even after the migration to Yasrib also known as Madinah, he established an Islamic state according to Islam and he also made peaceful relations with two tribes Aus and Khazraj and made treaties with Jews and the hypocrites. I've also read about almost all of the battles (Badr, Uhad, Trench, etc) and yeah, I like the way Holy Prophet came off as a brave leader who instructed the Muslims to stick together as one and told them that their main cause was to fight in the path of Allah. Truly Jihad is an important religious duty. :) Moreover, Holy Prophet never used to talk harshly to unbelievers and he made fair decisions and dealings. He also freed the captives and slaves and paid special attention to them which is what makes him an outstanding man. Not only that but he even pardoned the enemies of Islam after the conquest of Makkah. It's really hard to reject that he had an impressive personality and he had an excessive zeal for devotions to Allah. If it weren't for the Messenger of Allah, we would have still remain in darkness of ignorance and whatnot.
I know, right? :( I might probably make a yahoo account some other time so I can add you there, okay? In the mean time, we can just communicate here through VM. ^^

Well, I like pretty much everything about Islam because it's a complete code of life that is prescribed by Allah (SWT) and demonstrated by his last apostle Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). In short, it's a guide of life in all aspects such as: social, economic etc. To be honest, It has definitely changed my life for the better in more ways that I could ever imagined. What interests me about Islam is that, it has laid down set of proper rules and injunctions for us to follow so we can prepare ourselves for the hereafter. Further more, I also find the 5 pillars of Islam very much fascinating. It teaches the principle of sawm/fasting which really helps one to become self-restraint and god-fearing. It's like the best medicine to cure from almost every kind of disease and there is no doubt about that. Salat is important too even though, I pray 4 times on a daily basis because I actually have a hard time waking up for Fajr prayers but I am struggling with it. Also, I like the idea of giving alms, Zakat and Sadaqah to the poor community. With that being said, I love the way Islam provides a sense of peace and shade of protection to the Muslim Ummah. I like the routine and devotion Islam demands of believers. I also love reading the Holy Quran in Arabic. I realized I had never read/heard a more perfect book or beautiful language, and that it had to have been from God. Despite the fact that I don't really know Arabic that much but reading the holy scripture really motivates me to learn Arabic and I surely will some day. :)

I guess I have written way too much so I should stop. xD; Now, coming to you. What do you like about Islam?
