I agre with SL, you'll probably have to get the National Dex before you can get a Yanmega or a Weavile. Which will be a little frustrating for me since I love Weavile. But I'll deal :P

Mine was Red. I got it for Christmas one year, perhaps even the year it came out in the US. I absolutely adored it, so my parents got me Blue and Yellow, too.

It's a toss up between Roark and Volkner. Roark is such a cutie, but I went with Volkner, because in Kaleigh-vision, if he had to go through one more pointless battle, he would have gone off the deep end and become Cloud like.
