Ok well in your case you did do it right. Roserade got 5 points, starmie got 4 points, espeon got 3 points, alakazam got 2 points, and empoleon got 1 point. If you listed it rather than added numbers all of your pokemon would of gotten 3 points because the list got 3 generations. Does that help...
