I agree that makes no sense your a noob and catch a pokemon then evolve it after hours of work. Then at the next gym you realize that you could have just walked a little and caught it two levels lower then you made it...

Heres the easyest way: Have the boxes named after types then re arrange your pokemon. Then if you want mark them for good shiny and legendary its just the way i do it EDIT: You also need 1 box for both egg and breed or one box each
