Is there a way to utilize the day / night system similarly to how it works in Sword and Shield? Be able to change the time of day with a script as oppose to it being dependent on the real time clock?
Could we make the D/N system optionally not depend on the RTC? So if I wanted to change the palettes for everything just by changing the D/N status byte, it would not check the RTC? Or just disable the RTC completely and be able to manually control the statusbyte for what time it is?
I will...
Do you think it's possible to change the black and white Gamefreak copyright image that appears in the beginning before the intro plays to support 256 colors? I figured that just repointing the palette for the image and adding my own image and tileset/raw would do it, but I haven't had success...
GBA Intro Manager by diegoisawesome and IntroEd by Mewthree9000 don't allow you to remove the GameFreak or Gengar & Nidorino battle parts of the intro. I haven't seen any other programs like them. Let me know if you remember / find one!
I've seen it done in a few rom hacks, but in the intro editing programs I've seen, they only allow you to skip portions of the oak intro and the intro with the blue screen explaining the controls. I also haven't found an asm script that can do this. I figure it couldn't be too difficult; just...
I don't like to toot my own horn, but to call the ROM hack I've been working on amazing might not be doing it enough justice. That being said, I'm planning on rolling out a ton of promotional content next year to build up hype for said hack, and I'm also making a music album with the same name...
The problem I'm having is getting an overworld sprite (80 width, 128 height) to display correctly in my rom, and the problem seems to be a result of the data from the unknown pointers thinking I'm still using a sprite with the size 128x64, since I modeled the new OW I inserted after the ship OW...
Hey everybody! I'm giving out 10 Volcanion codes. Just follow the instructions in the video for a chance to get one! The last day to enter is January 10th. Good luck and have a nice day.

Could you give me a bit more direction to do this? I'm on the Bulbapedia page about Gen 3 data structures, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for. It looks to me like the checksum function for saving is at 0x0FF6. Is there a program to view all the assembly code in the game?
I have a SuperCard MiniSD, and saving my Fire Red hack does not seem to work. I get the "Save failed, checking backup memory message". Trying to save a clean fire red rom gives me the same message.
Oddly enough, trying to save certain various rom hacks I've patched to the same fire red rom (like...
Using the Day and Night system program/patch, would it be possible to manipulate the "real time clock"? I want the palettes to change in the overworld for effect, but I don't want to make players wait for that exact time or have to change their clocks. So if I could change the time of the clock...
Am I incorrectly using the program then? Whenever I load my Ruby rom it selects the same values and they are not in multiples of 4, so I get a black screen.
I also would like to know this.
Also, how would I adjust the pointer values to be in multiples of 4 as to not get the black screen? Entering new values in the .ini before the program opens and attempts to repoint everything doesn't seem to work.
