Yeah, they're very different games and iirc I picked up Runner because I really enjoyed Beat so it was extra disappointing. xD;

I think we're talking about different games here. XD The one I hate is Bit Trip Runner which was a platformer... Bit Trip Beat is the Pong one and I liked that, even if I suck at it because I suck at Pong. (I was good at it until the very last level which is literally Pong and that's where I always die.) Beat is very much a rhythm game.

Nope. :( Any part I do like is so vastly overshadowed by the bad design/gameplay choices.

BTW, I taped both of Whitney's episodes from their original KidsWB broadcasts (August 18, 2001, via WDWB channel 20 in Detroit (now WMYD, a MyNetTV affiliate), which I got through an outdoor antenna), but then at least a few days later (definitely before 9-11), I got over-excited (about Whitney), and accidentally taped over Whitney's "I'm ready for a real rumble, are you?" line with a few seconds of a Maury episode (of all things LOL! :/ ). I caught the mistake and stopped the recording, but it was too late. Several seconds of "A Goldenrod Opportunity" that I taped, from the aforementioned point through when Nidorina was using her Poison Sting were wiped out.

I can't believe it's been almost 11 years since "A Goldenrod Opportunity" and "A Dairy Tale Ending" aired on KidsWB! (almost 12 years since their first airing in Japan)! I even wrote myself a little "article" about how futile it was for Ash to rematch Whitney (in which I mentioned that the episode in question was from "The Johto Journeys", which was the opening used on those episodes on their original KidsWB airings.)

I'm excited about the type because it'll add a new dynamic to the game, even if it doesn't have its own energy type.

I didn't get all. I went to my local one the day after it ended just to buy some toys, and I ended up getting mostly the 2011 toys (5 or 6 Zekrom, iirc). Which was fine by me since I didn't get any of the 2011 cards, actually.
