  • So I was testing it again and I felt like catching a spearow on Route 22 and they're fuggin rare I swear to god. On route 3 they're a lot easier to find though lmao. In the games it's actually like that too, they have a low appearance rate, but dayum, I had bad luck lol

    Also I just patched it. Yay! (It's because of a bug with how Leech Seed worked with switching)

    Thank you! It's still in beta so I run into glitches often. The version you're playing isn't updated until the next release, just to let you know. So I might have patched glitches already. But thanks for the update.

    and I also need help with another thing. You remember at the beginning of the game like on FireRed and LeafGrean how the professor came and grabbed you. and took you to the lab and you chose a starter..... How exactly would I do the starter script? like where they choose from certain pokemons to choose as their starters. then they are able to leave the room.
    I am confused of how that script would look like if i put it into my game? like, i have the ASM put into the game already. just confused on what the script would look like
    i do need help with something tho. do you know about the Give Pokemon with Custom Move ASM and scripting that was made?
    imho I like C# a lot for starting off, C# is easier than C++ to start off with imho and you can start programming stuff pretty quickly. Since you have VS you could start on that, lol. Before using libraries and stuff I would practice making simple programs. I like to make mutators and generators and stuff for practice.
    SDL seems to be a library for C++, so I recommend reading up on that. Languages like C++ are languages that can be coded just in Notepad (or preferably N++) but you'll need a compiler for them. Most people use Visual Studio but if you can't get access to it you can compile using code::blocks and getting GCC which is a GNU compiler (I much prefer microsoft's though)

    It might be a little less hands on but you can always give me a holler.
    I remember there is a guy named Aaron who was born blind who uses some sort of engine or scripting language or something, I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. But it's designed for people who are blind to design games and it is often used for it. He is on PC (here's his account) but he's not very active, he is on audiogames.net though and his name there is TheOnlyPKMNmaster. I'll reach him tomorrow about it for more information for you.

    My blind friend Kyle codes in C++ and he uses some sort of library called SDL if you wanna know that.

    Another blind friend programs in Python but doesn't build games. I'm sure there's stuff on that though online...

    That's interesting. My buddies didn't have a problem, I wonder if it was something else... (I'm, er, to say the least, not in the state of programming at the moment)... We had a sudden glitch involving a bad dll but we fixed it now :) Seems like you didn't get that though lol.
    Well I was very naughty and I made it in Game Maker: Studio. Thing is though I don't think it's accessible from everything I've heard from other people so :s

    I wonder why you're having such a funky issue with the game. Nobody else had a problem, did you like, uber personalize your screen reader or something? It's not like I would know lol
