  • Well, she wasn't really too difficult, but compared to me OHKO or 2HKOing every one of Red's Pokemon, she was certainly tougher in comparison. In {Platinum, I found a Dusknoir with Ice Punch from a Move Tutor works wonders against Garchomp :P

LOL those are two games I don't think I'd play again... I thought the setup in B/W was quite annoying where you beat the E4, N and Ghetsis in their 40's to mid 50's, then everyone in the postgame is in their 60's, and then you have to beat the E4 again in their 70's. Very tough to train for that stretch, and I just gave up and went the "sell White back to GameStop" route xD

Awesome :) I believe I've still got my Platinum FC in my sig somewhere (might be a hover-over) - use that one since that's where all my good Pokemon are :P
Well, I never bought into the hype surrounding him and I don't agree that he's the strongest trainer... he might have the highest levels, but his team is weak as far as the Pokemon and moves (especially since one isn't even fully evolved)... I had more difficulty with Cynthia (and even Lance in SS) than I ever did with him. Heck, I think a few of the random Lasses in the game gave me more problems than he did xD Plus I just plain don't like him :P He's actually a main reason I don't like the Johto games as much as some of the others. I'd like to see a cute girl as the series' uber-strong trainer, personally.

Just a plain Fire starter would be perfect. Typhlosion is probably tied with Empoleon for my favorite starter, actually.

As for the games, right now I'm finishing up the postgame in Leaf Green, actually. Team's around level 65 and I of course chose Leaf but named her Lisa :P Team is Blastoise, Persian, Nidoking, Electrode, Exeggutor, and Dragonite. Yeah, I know three are weak to Ice, but Lorelei's the only one I really have to worry about :P

I used to do wi-fi battling quite a bit back in the days of Pearl and Platinum, but I can't get on now... I've had to use the old Wi-fi USB connector and since I had to replace my computer and the USB connection won't work with Windows 7, I've been out of the battling and trading loop for awhile... last battle with someone else I had at an anime convention at the beginning of April. I'd like to get back into the battling groove once I can get a router, but I'm sadly out of the loop when it comes to 5th gen attacks and Pokemon :/
The worst part about it was that new items would go to the top of the item list instead of the bottom... it annoyed me because I like to keep frequently used items like Lemonade and Repels at the top for easy access, and every time you'd pick up some random stone in a cave, BAM! It's suddenly at the top of the list. C-Gear constantly being there didn't help matters, either.

No, I'm talking about her appearing as the final boss in the game replacing Red... like, say, if you chose the girl character, she would appear at the end instead of him. She'd also make a fine champion for the new games xD

LOL, I'm not sure how well it would fit in, but it would be cool... maybe have cars in the Colosseum/XD series games, where you don't do anything between towns anyway. I just happen to think cars are awesome :) And I never rode a bike IRL. Way too unsteady and prone to rollover IMO - even worse than SUV's.

My favorite game has always been a toss up between Platinum and Leaf Green. Honestly, the Johto games for me fall short in a couple critical areas.

My preferred starter for each game would be: Squirtle/Cyndaquil/Torchic/Piplup/Oshawott. I also tend to stay away from Grass starters, and the new Fire + Fighting trend for the fire starters is a turn off too... Blaziken was enough for that type combo.

For B2/W2, first I want Meowth/Persian in the game. Flygon and its pre-evo forms would be awesome too. None of the Pokemon they've announced as being in the game have impressed me, and a few of them I didn't want to see show up again. Second, I'd like a plot that doesn't involve legendaries or anything like that. I have heard that N and Ghetsis will both be returning along with Team Plasma, so it doesn't look like B2/W2 will have the fraud-based evil team that I've dreaming about.

I'd like to see a plot in a Pokemon game that revolves more around the human trainers and tries to develop their personalities, instead of throwing a dozen legendaries into some over-the-top plot that ends up making no sense. Of course, this seems to be exactly what they're doing for these new games, so I'm not letting my hopes up... There are also a few returning faces from B/W that I was hoping I wouldn't have to see again... Alder (aka Dakim) and Burgh among them...

And wow, after being disappointed with B/W I wouldn't ever preorder a Pokemon game without first knowing exactly what was in the game and how it would all play out. I'll wait until I know excactly what I'd be getting into xD
Okay... actually the girl from B2/W2 is the only reason I'm still considering getting those games... the rest that I've heard so far about the games hasn't been encouraging.

I... actually don't like any of the guy protagonists in Pokemon games, lol. And I don't see that changing unless they introduce a guy who wears a stylish business suit or tuxedo xD

As for regions, Hoenn's actually my least favorite because of all the water, and the oddball towns. Other than that, I never thought about how they would rank.

I recently posted in a blog ranking the Pokemon games. My favorite towns in the Pokemon games are the big cities (Celadon, Goldenrod, Castelia), probably because of my RL preference for big cities. As for starters, I'm loyal to one starter for each of the games, and I've never chosen another starter whenever I play through a game.

Other than that, here is some randomness:

*B/W had the worst menu interface IMO, with the C-Gear largely to blame.
*The "Pokemon following you" feature in HG/SS slightly annoyed me.
*I will always believe that Alder from B/W and Cipher Admin Dakim from Colosseum are the same person.
*Unova was named in honor of the Chevrolet Nova.
*The girl from FR/LG should have appeared in HG/SS, and I will fight to the death defending my position on this :P
*Bikes are old school. I really wish cars would replace them in the games xD
*I want to see more girl champions :)

I'm curious as to hearing some other thoughts you have!
    Anytime :)

Well, first off I should start by saying that the girl from FR/LG is my favorite character in Pokemon, and the girl from B2/W2 is probably my second favorite now. I have plenty more thoughts, including several unique and somewhat bizarre ones... like how the Unova region is named for a car they haven't built in over 20 years xD
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it! Have you had, by chance, seen any of my opinions on Pokemon (especially the games) yet? I tend to have many very strong and... unique... opinions about the Pokemon games...
I love Other Trivia - you should check it out.

The Gender Race is one of my fave games cos it creates rivalries. I would love having more girls play cos I get outposted by boys.
