Again, some excellent suggestions! I'm not sure i'm qualified to write about some of these topics, i'd almost certainly need to give them some research. I recently picked up a Pocket Pikachu, and I have two Pikachu Colors, so that one could be possible for sure!

I usually go for the starter that I like the best, but if i'm playing through a game again after a while, I usually mix it up and try a different one. I used to always choose fire types, but then generation 5 came around, and I went with Snivy

I like your ideas, and unfortunately I can't help you on the programming side, as it's not my area. However, you need to decide how realistic it is for you to create a game. What resources and time do you have, and will you need help in making it possible? I feel a good game would take a decade...

I heard that Pokemon Crystal Clear was a great game, I still need to look into it.

I really enjoyed the trailer, and I thought the Farigiraf design looked quite faithful to something we would have seen in Generation 2 games. I like it!
