D'oh! Ich mache oft das Fehler. Was lernst du? Was studiert du? Ich lerne gerade heute der Verbe "ko:nnen".

Ich liebe Feuerpokemon denn Feuer ist lustig XD

    Na? :P
Oh oh sorry for the wall of text but last thought:

I really like your threads in the discussion forum, they're thought-provoking
I should tell you that I don't compliment if I don't mean it, so whatever you've done to get your fluency this high, keep that up! I'm sure you could master any language with that sort of effort. Did you mother learn English abroad, or did she attend an English classes like you do and just took an interest in it? That's pretty crazy you picked it up so well, I have problems sometimes with my mother's language despite her talking to me as a child in it too.

It's really cool you have a personal connection with a language, too...I think that's necessary for true mastery. Hard to be a pro at something you don't really like, right? :) You should try watching/reading things in French sometime, see if you can apply that skill there! Currently I'm in Manhattan, New York. It's on the East Coast. Only place in the US I really like haha. How about you?
I only just started trying at playing competitively since EV training and breeding is way easier. I enjoy battling so I figured it's worth giving it a go. Super Training simplifies EVs a lot too. I don't think I can follow set strategies though...I still like to play with my favourites, you know? Like I don't care too much about having different roles (wall, sweeper, etc.) or following the movesets that everyone else uses. I'll probably lose a lot more because of it, but at least I'll be having fun losing instead of copying everyone else and using a Pokemon I don't like :) You should give it another shot now!

Pokemon is pretty basic because you can choose to use Kanji (the Chinese characters) or just Hiragana (the syllabaries, there's only 46). I just look up words I don't know, it's mostly a learning experience for me and I don't know too much yet. Trying to prepare myself for games that have never come out in English eventually, haha. I use this textbook called Genki, I have a PDF of it, plus some other resources I got off the net. It's actually not that hard at all, especially for multilingual people like ourselves :)
Ich geht es guuut :P What's up? how'd you say something like that in German? like something casual :P
Es ist wahr :P also mein Chinesisch ist nicht besonders schlecht.

Oh danke! My comprehension is very basic, and my ability to express myself even more so, so I do appreciate it a lot. The one day that I don't want you to translate every sentence will be a day of achievement indeed.

"Viele bringen das direkt mit Céline Dion in Verbindung", that's "Many people associate the name with Céline Dion". So "to associate with" would be "in Verbindung mitbringen"? I don't understand the grammar here.

"Man hört immer" would be like "they say" or "you always hear" eh? Does "dass" mean "that", and is it used almost the same as English? Would it be too English-y for me to say "dass es ist eine schwierige Sprache!"?

Also, how would you say "that's true!" or "it's true!". I always think in French, comme "c'est vrai"! Would "est ist wahr" or "das ist wahr" be correct?

Es ist lustig dass ich gelernt Französisch vor ich gelernt Deutsch XD (we didn't learn past tense yet so I'm guessing right now :S) aber Deutsch ist mehr a:hnlich wie Englisch denn Französisch! So ich verkompliziere oft wann ich lerne Deutsch - and I'm really suspicious that whatever I'm saying sounds as if it was word-for-word translated from English.

Haha what's funny is that in English it's "then" and "than", but in German it's "dann" and "denn". Oof that required a lot of brainpower D: but it was worth it :D
Ich wohne, ich denke fu:r siebzehn Jahre? in Kanada. Ja, ich kann! Céline klingt wie ein französisch Name.

    你好吗?

Is that how you say "can you speak Chinese"? It sounds like "can you Google" or "can you noun something"?
Hey, it's not like you chose for it to be stocked early haha. Congrats! I'm really pulling for some cameos, though, so far there's like none from what I can tell. It'd be sad to have to wait for a new gen to see that...at any rate, when you finish, let me know if you ever feel like a battle!

Thanks a lot, good luck to you also! If you were ever interested in some self-study books, I've got plenty. Been downloading some Japanese games to see how well I fare, too.

It's weird you say that about your mother liking languages because my mother is the same. It's actually because of her that I got into it. Practise makes perfect, so keep at it! Is English spoken outside there frequently by the way? Because you speak better than a native, honestly!
It was sometime in college. I can't remember exactly when, but leading up to that I didn't eat anything except chicken and even then not all that much so it wasn't as hard of an adjustment for me as it's been for other people. I hear a lot of people talk about how they try it for a few months and then have to give up.
Whoa, before release? How did you manage something awesome like that? And honestly, it's best to take the games at your own pace, some people rush to finish and that kind of sucks the fun out of it. As long as you're enjoying the ride, that's all that matters!

So far I haven't found her and I don't see anyone mentioning her showing up...there haven't been any cameos by anyone for that matter, which is a little disappointing. I'm hoping that maybe there will be some events lined up or even DLC in the future, we'll just have to wait and see.

Definitely liked Spanish for awhile but I kind of lost it, my focus right now is Japanese (really into the tech/game scene, too much goes by untranslated!). My first love was Chinese though, big martial arts fan! What made you get into languages, and specifically French/Spanish?
