I've pretty much stuck with a dragon variant of some nature throughout my entire dueling career. There was one time where I used a top tier deck though cause my dragons were not doing so well and I wanted to win more ¬_¬
At the time you had Elemental Heros I was using a dragon deck based on King Dragun.
Actually I am leaning towards quitting Yu-Gi-Oh to be honest. I don't like the way Konami is making loads of money by constantly making good cards really hard to get. There's a card called 'Tour Guide from the Underworld' which is roughly £100 and the entire top 16 from the most recent Yu-Gi-Oh tournament all used three of them. I am not paying £300 + for three cards no way in hell. I can build a tournament worthy Pokemon TCG deck with 1/3 of that price. I have put up with it for too long I think. I managed to get some other expensive cards (Pot of Duality) which were like £80 each but now I know that Konami is just going to keep doing this and it's just going to get worse and worse. It reminds me of Apple software actually. Once you buy their crap, they try and ensure that you keep buying their crap. I've had enough of it to be honest. I will be attending a YCS in Brighton but after that, there's a strong chance I will quit and stick to playing the Pokemon TCG.
