It is kinda similar. Though from what I can remember, what happened in "Ben Drowned" only happened to the unfortunate soul that bought that particular cartridge, whereas Tails Doll can "apparently" be summoned by anyone if you play Tails Doll in Sonic R and play his theme song backwards. Or something like that. xD Wouldn't recommended it unless you want to be brutally murdered, though.

Hmm, I don't think Ganon respawns, but he does find ways to keep coming back. xD I mean thinking about, Ganon does have a reason to be angry at Toony as well (minus the twitter trolling) considering he stabs his sword right through the guys skull.
