We haven't really got to naming the game. Its just called the platinum project :embarrass
We haven't gotten our forum server back up but when we do we'll get a poll for the name. I found some major info and stuff for platinum today! I emailed it to reza so he can get some more of the script figured out. Turns out a lot of stuff we won't get to do in our game since there's no wifi or touch screen but we have a lot of memory for other stuff so its ok. There's only 210 pokemon in DP so we won't let people use the national dex but now we get space for extra maps after some repointing! We also found out there are like new sprites for over 40 of the pokemon (I think its really like 20) so yay for us for having original sprites. There's a new lucario, pikachu, registeel, and some other monsters I can't remember. Rotom has 5 forms so I'm looking forward to devamping those and trying to make a sprite for the rotom key. check out pokemonplatinum.net They have been the greatest help to us ever since akido got a job and we lost contact with him. They also have clean png screenshots so you can like use them for signatures or something. Yay, I'm so hyped! @_@

yeah, I dom't have a plan yet but then again I lost my scandisk/thumb drive so that's like all my work on electrik yellow's gone and I don't have anywhere to save the project work so it doesn't matter if I wait for a little while. If electrik yellow does turn up as a rom it'll be a sucky rom base instead of an actual game. Well, I got a bio lab homework to get to and I don't do much homework so I'm like busy now any how...

Actually, I do remember that version of goldmap. It was 1.5, which can still be found on the website of Bluesonic aka Jiggly(creator of goldmap)

It has a lot of tweaks(ASM hacks) which can be applied to the ROM, but most of them are useless such as "No show when you jump" or "No bumping noise when you bump into walls". They're things you should worry about last..Hope it helps.

LOL, yeah right! If I get lucky I can probably get my hands on it like 1 or 2 times but if there's two things I won't do its lie or steal. I don't mind cheating since there's not much winning or losing in life. Hopefully I'll have it later today or tomorrow or sometime soon since I gotta type a report later.

This question really makes no sense, the answer should pop up in your mind. If you have a "Palette viewer" and you can activate it whenever you like, can't you activate it, while in the pokegear, pokedex, on the map, etc.

Hiro sprite = Palette viewer when Hiro is in view, and look on the right side of the palettes.

So basically it's the same process as anything else...

Dude, you're misunderstanding what it means to be in alpha phase. That means it is in the first or A phase of hacking. Beta would be the second or B phase then some people go into gamma for long term projects or a series of betas like Pokemon Shiny Gold. Or, the project is completed. Alpha means we're just getting to the hacking and its only graphics of pokemon and the title screen. There's not much that you can show some one on an IPS that you can't show them with screenies but my parents locked up my laptop after I messaged you yesterday so I'm working from my useless XP again. And I'm not getting that new computer yet. The only thing that I can do on this XP is get on the net so I can't really show anything. Turns out my scandisk/thumb drive is gone so Pokemon Electrik yellow has to be started over from sketch. Don't worry though. Couple of free days and we will hopefully get into beta and get you a patch. Don't get your hope's too high. We can't do everything Pokemon Prism can and we don't even know how to implement DP trees into Crystal. Besides that we've all been out of reach for a few days to weeks because of high school. The only thing I'm sad about is how we can't put in the TORN WORLD (its a special map in platinum where the player can walk sideways and surf upside down and all this crazy stuff) where Giratina is found in his special form. Well I'll keep you on any updates good news or bad...

Go to the tool sektion and open Hackmews tool factory, get the tool called APE, Inset an offset to a palette and go edit...

Offset can be seach through vba, but I think that UNLZ displays the palette offset too...
There's some tutorials about this too in the guide sektion...

just learned of rotom's 5 new forms (they look very dorkish, I think nintendo's running out of ideas) and we got our hands on the original pictures (that means the clean ones not .jpg ones) of platinum screenshots unlike serebiiforums so the devamping is much faster and easier. Pokemon platinum is good to go into alpha now and the pokespe hack I was going to do we argued about ad we might open it up again in free time as a noobis FR hack, then we'll go back to our RPGs (we might do a Real time strategy pokemon game if I learn how to use some C++ features and also learn how to use my Autodesk Maya and Photoshop CS3).
