I'm not someone who can just function off "the bigger number is better" I need to understand why x amount of damage happens instead of x amount. For example why does a move that has 100 power that is doing neutral damage only doing 20 hp in damage. I'm well aware it has to do with the opponents...
I hated sun and moon when it was announced but hey it wasn't out there was still hope it was good. Started watching some videos on it and looked at the pokedex and as I thought I was correct this is a crap game. Ignore the alolan forms because they are not really "new" pokemon so we have about 5...
I've seen pigeots doing normal type moves deal not very effective damage to vaporeons a water type. I've seen a lot of very strange things like this so would like to know whats going on.
I like it because it gives me a reason to go and exercise other then I "need" to. I'm the type that needs incentive to get things done so going to a gym or walking for no reason other then to walk was a waste of time to me. Now I can become a pokemon master and show off my mad curvball skills...

May not be your solution but if you have ar on you need to keep turning around until you see the pokemon, they are rarely ever in front of you with the camera on
You can find any pokemon anywhere except legendaries. Water pokemon will be much more common near water but I've found goldeens and magikarps in the middle of a field quite a few times. Magnemites for me are more common in a down town area but have seen others catch them in pure residential.
Click on an excess pokemon scroll all the way down and click transfer on every single one you want to get rid of one by one. Only thing to do with them is turn them into candy enjoy the hours of clearing your box out one by one because they didn't implement a select x and transfer button. Or...
Size no but I'm pretty sure level does. If you are a higher level you have a much better chance to catch a stronger pokemon so the ones you catch at low levels are not worth doing anything more then evolving with. Think you start getting able to get to 1k cp at level 10
