No, but there's a way to do it. Learning the basics is probably the hardest part.
I know this sounds crazy but learning gamemaker code (GML) helped a lot with my syntax since the standard greatly resembles Java and C languages.
There's also bountiful resources online that can help you, and Java IDEs that can help you learn. I used Eclipse for class which is free. Visual Studio is not free but it's pretty rad if you can pirate it (I got it legally through dreamspark though, crappy service but at least I got it)
Are you in the rom hacking scene by any chance? Rom hacking is quite resembling lower level programming like lower C languages, it's called "Sequential programming" and that means that the code is read in order. Well, all code is read in order, but many languages used today don't require the coder to take care of that. There are advantages to lower level stuff though such as speed which is why it's used with portable processors...
Object Oriented programming is NOT LIKE ROM HACKING aaaa especially not like GBA rom hacking, I haven't tried higher up gens but seriously. It's totally different. It's not hard but it's a little hard to think outside of the sequential mindset for me.
If you're interested I did program in GML in my spare time a Pokemon Game for visually impaired people. It's a co-op project between me and a friend of mine, but I did most of the work.
