3- The one with the note inside the lab/house, where running shoes and a goal are obtained after the beach battle.

the HM01 should say something about 'hey i found this ysterday, dont know what it does though, so you can have it! [player] obtained HM01' (its supposed to be a child saying it.)


the blocker guy should say something like:
Hey have you heard? Lightoft town has been taken over! you should go and see. go North From here!

Want me to send the ROM incase you wanna try insert them? also would you be able to do gym script? doesnt matter if not.

You still okay to write scripts?

It doesn't have to require hex editing. You could just make a generic talking script with XSE and make the text string that offset.

It's actually easier with a hex editor, because you could just go to the offset and type it in. You could even repoint it so that the string that it calls is at a different offset.

I edited that post a long time ago saying that it's okay to download it. All you have to do to make it work is to put in a text string at 0x1F8820.

To answer your first question, he is in the lab all the time.

and the second: you could change the sprite to Norman if you wanted, but its getting replaced anyway, and yeah i just wanted to to able to battle norman without needing 4 badges.
-the text for his intro should be:

hey, before you send it back would it be possible to make it so that Norman Gives you Badge 1? just wondering? because then i could work on the gym while youre away :D

How's the route?

nah tou can just make it so you don't see her until the beach, but make her tell the player that.

Also after the battle, may should say something along the lines of: We gotta tell Dad!
(which then makes the player go back to the lab, coincidentally find out dad's been kidnapped etc etc.) yeah :D erm could you screenie it? (the tree situation)

also, regardless of where you've got to, can you send me it back on sunday or whatever? so i can update the thread xD thanks :D
