it's a crossroads, but both up and down are closed off till you get the 1st badge..
you come in from the left, exit via the right..

I've got the Beach done and the 1st gym town, although it still has a lot of Verdanturf in it..

and regarding the map. It isnt a town. Its a crossroads, and the route its connecting up and down is rather long so thats why the Pokecenter is there. The ledges are because the area has an extreme downward slope :) it is based on Oldale town, but it seems its noticeable so ill add a few more trees :D

I like the mountains a lot, but i'd like to use the grass.
would it be possible to make a version of the grass that can be used on sand?
quite a few areas will be beaches, and yeah, that idea just came into my head. if that could be implemented, thatd be great..
