  • *Well I'll see you later and may your pencil stay sharp and may your pen stay...um...ink-filled! (that sounded...odd)*

I've tried variations of that, but you've finally helped me come up with a good version: "May your pencil and wits stay sharp!" I usually try something with a pen, and it doesn't work.

Anyways, I have a doctor's appointment today. I despise them. I've only had like seven or eight in my entire life, so I guess I'm a little more sensitive to them than most people. Then I get to go back and have blood drawn on Tuesday of next week, which I have never had happen. I'm a little worried.

In other news, I've been thinking lately that I repeat things a lot. Like saying "anyways" or "in other news" to start a new paragraph. I even get the feeling when I'm writing...it's like I use certain words over and over, chapter after chapter. Or not necessarily the exact same words, but it's like I do things the same. For instance, I always have at least one person being really surprised by something in each chapter. It's weird. I would acredit it to just being my personal syntax, but it feels like it's getting out of hand. I don't know, maybe I'm over-reacting, but it's still weird.

Oh, and it also extends to chapter reviews. I always feel like I'm saying something along the lines of "fantastic, now here's what you need to correct." It's...boring. I think what I need to do is put more thought into each review, say what I did/didn't like concerning the actual story, and then go into my critique. I would also try to guess what is going to happen in the near future, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for others if I happened to be right.

So yeah. Lots and lots going on.

EDIT: I just did this crazy thing! I had "Waters of Nazareth" playing on my computer, and I left the room for a bit. Then I randomly started snapping my fingers as I walked back, and when the song was in hearing range again, I realized that I was snapping in perfect time with the bass line! I'm so weird. XD
Yeah, I think that thread is a bit intimidating. There's some intense reviewers there. I'd like some critiquing, but I'm not sure if I'm up to having my story completely shredded.

Oh, and I'm solidifying the endscene for the Chronicles in my head these days. It's going to be one heck of a ride. It's funny...I'm writing now with a sense of where everything's going, but you all as readers have next to no idea what will happen unless you're really good guessers. So I'm sitting here during the last few chapters thinking "holy crap, they really don't know where this will end up." It's a trip.

Speaking of fanfiction, I guess I should finish the next chapter for "Mastermind." I already finished around a page a while back, before I started concentrating on the EC again. The next chapter is a little hard to write...not because I'm stuck, but because there's a scene that's slightly intense and it sets me on edge to think about it. I would classify it under "torturous," even though it isn't technically torture that's going on.

I have to get off the comp now, but I'll try to write in my notebook. I never really used it for anything big until I wrote the second half of chapter 23 in it a few nights ago. Needless to say I've developed a new appreciation for pen and paper. Talk to you later.
I am not sure I would call that crazy...
I guess it is good to have that mindset though.
It's easier to handle the homework then.
    Lol, still can't remember...
I've had school for a week and a half.
Made a new friend but this year has quite a few days of homework hell.
It's not a failure here. It's just that the fanfiction section is generally slow. I had two readers for my first few chapters, and then I got a few more, and then my initial readers left. I would suggest asking people to critique it in that one thread...I'll edit with the name of it.

Anyways, about shortening chapter 23: I left a part off that will instead find it's way into chapter 24. This is because a) I wanted to get the chapter out and b) another scene will occur that takes place at the same time as the bumped scene. It will simply mesh better as a result.

EDIT: The Beta Place is the name of that thread. Having someone review your work might not get you a lot of praise, but it will get you some strong editing help.
Alrighty. I had to do some last moment tweakery, so it took a tad longer than expected. So you'll be back at five...I'll try to save some of my remaining computer time for around then. It's not like I have much to do online now, lol.
Look for it naow! Lol. I just burned through the few corrections I had to make, and it's ready to go. Posting will occur momentarily. This is always weird for me...it's like I've been working on a project for months and I'm finally done with it and a huge part of my mind dedicated to writing will be empty for a time.

NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY!!!!!!!!! THERE'S A DAFT PUNK CONCERT AD AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN! Oh wait...it's just an ad for ELECTROMA from some movie rental service. Curses and conflagrations!
Oh, I get it. I'm supposed to respond here when you respond on my page. Weee.

So last night, I was up 'til three in the morning writing chapter 23 in my notebook. I now have three of the four segments finished that I planned to finish, but I'm thinking of just posting the freaking thing and bumping the remaining segment to the next chapter. In fact, that may actually work better...I'll probably do it. If so, expect the next chapter today. Finally, right?
I myself am listening to Freezepop, kind of a fun-sounding electropop group. I'll have to pause my music and take a listen. I also posted at your profile at almost the same time, so I'm not sure...
Yo. I'm listening to the original "Face to Face" by Daft Punk, and it's actually great. Some of their old stuff obviously sounds old, but this has a great beat to it that rivals some modern day chill techno. These guys never cease to amaze me.
It's the symbol for Gatecrasher. I actually don't know much about it other than the fact that it's...kind of like a periodic trance/house/techno festival type-thing.

Compilation mixes are also put out that come directly from the shows (or so I've heard). I heard a few tracks from the "Gatecrasher Digital" album and decided to add it to my wanted list. I also thought that the logo looked cool, so I adapted it as my avatar.

I also posted a comment on your page before knowing that you posted here, so I'm not sure where we want to talk at...
Ah, right right. That would make it interesting. I wonder how your characters would react to the technology presented in my fic (and vice-versa). That could be entertaining.

I have a lot to write as well. Actually, I'm just summarizing the plot of One Latias in the first chapter of Elements. It's boring. However, once I get past that part, it should give me room for more creativity.
The time difference, lol. They'd have to get to each other's time period (or one or the other) somehow. That and there's some plot...inconsistencies. Like things in your fic that don't exist in my fic, or are different in my fic, and vice versa. Alternate universes are fun!

Dang it, I have so much to write about. So much...daunting tasks are daunting. Anyways, I need to sleep. Grr. My last day of work is Wednesday, luckily, but then I go on vacation for like three weeks. Trying to pound out Chapter 24, but I needed to work on the system of governance that will make its debut. Wikipedia was no help, so I had to scrounge around in scholarship archives and such...but I found most of what I needed so far. Hopefully I can get a good bit written tomorrow.
