    but but but yes

Now that you know recoloring, you're free to go as far as you wish with it! In fact, I could give you something to work on (fusion&recolor) that I wanted to do but you're free to. :)
That CSS in your flying-type fan club is amazing, by the way! Just had to mention it, haha.
Okay cool. You should be using the pencil tool then. In the upper bar when using the pencil tool, you'll see a drop-down saying "Normal" click on it and scroll down to "Clear". This option erases all of the background when editing spites. Don't bother with that pesky background erasing tool.
Here, I'll do you one better. This site will randomly generate sprites from any generation. Pick one you think is easy.

And, here's a guide that will help you. Just scroll down to splices. :) It's an awesome resource.
I know, I'm sorry. :( But I think your recolors are coming out much, much better. Your last one is very successful, in my opinion.

Now, I want you to do a fusion. Just show me what you've got. :)
Oh, just change your image mode. :) Select your desired layer, press "image" button at the top, choose "mode," and then hit "RGB."
Ooh, whoops; I have no idea how I'd missed that. Should probably pay more attention. XD;; I'll definitely post a reply when I get the chance!
I love the movement effect you've done with your render; very creative. n_n" You should set up a gallery someday.
