  • Of course, of course. In most roleplays it is the job of the roleplay creator to push them in the right direction without restricting their ability to do their own thing, which I shall try to do.

I suppose so. The second Grif dynasty.
I was only joking, silly (about you being a roleplaying big shot, specifically ;D ). But yeah, they're pretty simple. I like to think that the ancient civilisation has plenty of history, and considering what they might find on the island they're not going to get far on their own.

This has gotten me reading up on old OOCs. Such memories. <3
Harsh. What elements am I missing then, if you're the roleplaying big shot, eh? ;)

Posted the general idea in the RP discussion thread. Take a look. ^^

Point me to the roleplay if you can remember it. I might have seen it before.
Yeah, it was fun, and one of my earlier roleplays on this site. A lot of fun none the less.

Name of the creator escapes me, but the roleplay was called ENTOURAGE. Joker was a Mothim Pokemorph. :3
It is, it is... although, Joker tended to be grumpy to most in the group. There was a blossoming friendship between him and another, although the roleplay collapsed before it went too far.

My favourite part was that all of the characters were a result of blending human and Pokemon DNA. My character's Pokemon partner didn't go easily and never truely blended his mind with Joker's, and they had routine conversations inside his head. :3 Contrary to Joker, he was consistently cheerful, and while Joker had all physical control it was his Pokemon that did all of the jazzy moves. Joker gets mad and wants to destroy something? Nah, his Pokemon's not in the mood. ;D

So it's in no way a similar idea then? xD
Sounds interesting. Kind of reminds me of an old roleplaying character. Called him Joker, and he had a habit of being radically different around different members of the group. He was a lot of fun.

    You know I'm just kidding.

    It should indeed.

As I said, it was a joke. ;) Yeah, I know, but it tends to happen every once in a while. Besides, aforementioned thing doesn't show up until later in the story. It'd be silly if it did before then. Plot point and all that.
    In what way? :3

    Yes you do. ^^

I did intend on throwing up some posts in the RP discussion thread if I did choose to make a roleplay here, and it seems you've persuaded me to do so. See if anyone else'll bite onto the idea.

I didn't, but now I'm struggling not to make a joke about the economy. *slaps self* :P I probably won't have any questions since it's mostly a fantasy civilisation anyway. I've even come up with a nice way of making sure people don't turn their Pokemon into Chuck Norris during some actiony stuff I have lined up. >=D
Grif of Hearts, the wo/man of many faces.

As was I. I am both superior in wit, charm and roleplaying skill now. ;)

Define 'concept'. :3 Pokemon would be things around the lv25 mark and below. Since the trainers and smart-peopelz are from many different regions the Pokemon they carry wouldn't be restricted to one area, although the islands itself would likely have more Hoennic Pokemon considering its location. The time would be... well, modern. Not a whole lot worth mentioning when it comes to the time frame... xD

Although, now that you mention it, the original idea for this came from an FF I planned to do set in a kind of Ancient Greece/Rome with Pokemon kind of setting. I eventually decided to set it in modern day, although a lot of what I had decided on this Poke-Greece civilisation was adapted to create the ruins upon the islands.
A simple being masked with the identity of a blitheringly complicated one, of course. But yes, medium sized roleplays are the ones for me. Five or six people, preferably.

Our tournament one seemed to go well those many moons ago, and it was little more than a 'lol, join da' tournament' plot. xD But I suppose that if the variety has improved as you said then the quality has improved with it. Don't wory though, I have more than just that thought up for it. The catacombs beneath the ground promise adventure and mystery. >=D
Because they make the best heroes. ;)

The size of a roleplay is my biggest pet peeve. I hate it when it has dozens of different people playing in it. I'm a simple being. Too much and I get confused. :L

Nothing solid, although it's more or less an adaptation of an FF I had planned on writing. I could make it an FF or a roleplay. Probably both if I put enough time into it. Basically it's about the discovery of a few large islands off of the Hoennic coast that contain the remains of what appears to be an ancient civilisation of some kind. The characters would be the group picked up to explore these ruins. Historians and trainers would make up the bulk of the travellers. They'd be exploring the islands and surviving that which lurks within the ruined cities.
I know I'm supposed to be struggling more with CSS than with mapping...
But it is somehow easier to me to learn CSS :P
And yes, headaches are part of my everyday :P
It is?... hmm, that's funny, seems pretty simple to me, even when it gives me some headaches.
Now, mapping, THAT seems difficult to me :P
Sounds like fun! I've always told myself to sit down and do some non-roleplay writing (an FF for example), but I've yet to get round to it. Maybe soon.

I have checked back every so often, but I think my main problem with the roleplays here is that, because the roleplaying section is more popular now, roleplays fill up quicker and generally have more people in them. I tend to like smaller roleplays. They're less cluttered and you tend to form stronger bonds with the others in the roleplay. But that might just be from my recent roleplay experience, because while I've left the site I haven't stopped roleplaying elsewhere.

Tempted to make a roleplay to solve that problem. ;D
Same as usual, I suppose. Drifting around doing nothing in particular. ;) And yourself?

I do keep forgetting about Pokecommunity though, although I intend on kicking myself back into gear around here. I'm sure the entire forum has fallen into disrepair without my guidance.
    I will :)
Just not now, I'm currently reading an HTML guide which I need to read before learning CSS coding.
I already have enough headaches :P
I have a lot on my plate as it is, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I'll try to! I have to study for exams and such though, so if activity is incredulously high I might change my mind. xD
