  • It's finnicky, since you already put in the tilemap...The outer sections of the world map need to have the transparent (solid dark blue) box in order to see the borders. You can either re-insert the tilemap, or just go without it.
    sorry it took so long for me to respond (just started class again today). You can change the pallate, like always, with APE. The pallate is located at 0x3EF2DE (remind me one of these days to teach you how to find out where pallates are) :)
    Ok ok I FINALLY got it lol.

    But the only thing is that the pallet is messed up. How do I fix that?

    (thanks for helping me so far, I would never have been able to figure that out by myself.)
    Er... I'm supposed to change all those to the offset of the map right?

    It turned all pink and glitchy when I tried to do that.
    Oh wait, I see what I was doing now. I was doing the offset for the map wrong.
    It was 003EF61C so that's 1CF63E08.... I think.
    Oh I see now. ^_^

    So then
    3F0AFC=FC0A3F08
    3F0C0C=0C0C3F08
    3F0CF0=F00C3F08

    Right?

    But whenever I go back and replace all those with the pointer of my offset I still get a blank map. ???
    It's the way data is organized in the GBA. It has to start with 08 to access the ROM data. 00 accesses the BIOS, 02 accesses the WRAM, 03 accesses the IRAM, 04 accesses the I/O, 05 accesses the temporary pallates, 06 accesses the VRAM, 07 accesses the OAM, and 08 accesses the ROM. Basically, just always add 08 to the beginning.
    You're not a bother. I'll try to explain it with color.
    Imagine an offset 0xABCDEF. The first thing you do is get rid of the "0x" (ABCDEF). Then put a "08" at the beginning of that (08ABCDEF). Finally, you take THAT number, and "reverse" it, getting EF CD AB 08
    I'm sorry I'm still not understanding it.

    Maybe you could just tell me what the others are supposed to be?

    I really hate to be a bother. :(
    I have been editing tiles for almost a year now. I can't believe I couldn't figure it out! xD

    Thank you for your help. I've been sick for a couple days now so I'm going to blame my dumbassed-ness on the fever.
