  • i'm not really a mutant myself, so much as a lurker but i'm familiar with the culture and all that, plus one of my friends online frequents it, but yea i noticed your taste was pretty /mu/core [nothing wrong with that].

    have you heard My Name is My Name by Pusha T? i've been bumping it all day, literally so good
    i'd say its pretty good but i've only listened 3 times or so, i've been bumping my name is my name a bit more lately, and yea i dled r+7 yday but have yet to listen, ive heard good stuff

    Also, I'm finally watching Rectify! You proud of me? (Hannibal will probably take a bit longer, but I'll get to it eventually.)
    There's a chance that Hamm could eke one out in Part 2 of Mad Men's final season. But Cranston will win next year for all the hoo-ha going on with Breaking Bad, leaving one final opportunity to recognise the Hammster. Not that they will, of course. And who knows: maybe voters just really like The Newsroom! Could be another Spader sweep.
    About time, too! Although this probably only happened give that she's now an Oscar winner. Beforehand, I don't think she was nominated for anything!
    It amazes me to no end that none of the reviews I've read so far have mentioned this irrefutable fact!
    I still need to catch up on that. As well as Hannibal and finally finishing Top of the Lake. In all honesty, OITNB just gets better and better as it goes. Stick with it.
    Good, glad we're on the same page. It's worth sticking with as the best episodes are all towards the end, but I'm not going to rush out and buy the DVDs like I did with the three previous seasons.

    And yes, I binge-watched OITNB over the course of a weekend: reeeeeeeally really good! Thoughts?
    Were you a fan of the latest series? Of Arrested, that is. Apart from the Maeby, Buster and Lucille episodes, I was kind of disappointed, if I'm being honest.
    Probably Julia Louis-Dreyfus. They love her and seem to love Veep, especially with its noms for Tony Hale and Anna Chlumsky. Having said that, there hasn't been a repeat winner in this category since 2001 so maybe Dern has a shot after all...

    Argh, I haven't been very up-to-date on all the new/recurring TV shows so the Emmy Thread is almost completely lost on me. ;__;
    I'm psyched. Definitely. But I'm also very apprehensive that they're gonna be more of the same-old same-old in certain categories. And I won't be able to watch the announcement live for a change, given that I'll be at work, to which boooo!
    To The Wonder is probably my least favourite film of the year, give or take an I'm So Excited!. I'm not a massive fan of ToL either, but I really preferred it to TTW.

    Frances Ha comes out in two weeks over here, so I'll be seeing it then. I liked Margot at the Wedding but hated Greenberg, so who knows how I'll react to this! I do like Greta Gerwig a lot, though, so here's hoping.
