    Catch of the Day

Not today, but I want to tell this story. Last month I went to Japan. I only had wifi (no data) but badly wanted to catch Farfetch'd. Most of my trip was spent in Tokyo, though we went to Osaka for two days, and I read that there was my best bet for Farfetch'd - no luck even with constant wifi...

    Worst parts of SM!

I mean, when you put it like that, yes it makes sense. But the protag in RSE has also just freshly moved to a new and confusing region and we get none of that. If we want to look at it from the perspective of the storyline, then I'll say I liked how they handled it in Gen 3 more. I don't enjoy...

    Worst parts of SM!

I've not finished the game yet, but so far my least favorite aspect by far is the linearity forced upon you. I don't like the mini-map always showing me where I need to go next. The games are already linear enough, there's no need to take it to the next level and tell me where to go every step...

    Excited but Apprehensive

I've been avoiding spoilers too and I'm also apprehensive about these games. I really want to enjoy them but was let down by X/Y (found it too easy, childish) and am afraid to be let down again.

How did you first discover the Anime?

I was around 4-5, and my brother and I turned on cartoons one morning to see Clefairy stealing ice cream from the gang. We were both hooked instantly. It was the anime and the cards we were into solely for a long time- none of us played a game until Gen IV. I just remembered this while typing...

What's the scariest thing to ever happen to you?

I used to work at a chain store, and one morning they asked me to pick something up from another location where I'd never been to bring in. I was working opening, so it was before 6 am when I left my house, and it had just started to snow. By the time I made it to the area the other location...

    4th Gen The Creepy Factor

I'm going to start off by saying I haven't played Platinum, so I can't comment on the Distortion World. But playing through Diamond was such a memorable experience for me, in part due to the creepier bits of the game. Team Galactic's mission itself was pretty creepy, along with Cyrus. And then...

    [News] Nintendo Switch

The thing about this is that when you have a large family, like I do, we all have separate handhelds and share the console. I can't see any reasonable way we could all have our own Switch, and sharing it between us all would be obnoxious as we all would want to play separate games on a shared...

    [News] Nintendo Switch

I really hope it's not the end of Nintendo handhelds. I've always preferred handheld gaming and especially for franchises like Pokemon, I'd want to have a handheld to play rather than a whole console (even if it can go handheld, it's not the same). I've had Nintendo handhelds since GBC and hope...

    6th Gen Dissappointment

I agree that I found X and Y disappointing. It was too easy and even though Pokemon is technically a children's game (I guess), that hasn't stopped them before from having dark and complex storylines- it seemed to in this one. I forgot to save before Xerneas and caught it in one pokeball anyway...

    4th Gen Favorite Sinnoh Town/City?

Canalave is my favorite. I love the idea of the port town and the fact that the library is there, it just feels so cozy. I even like that the ominous Darkrai sidequest takes place there, keeping it interesting.

    Favorite type

Water has always been my favorite type. I think my preference was aided by the fact that I started out watching the anime when I was a kid and loved Misty, but water type designs are consistently my favorites.

    4th Gen Your favourite pokemon

I must agree that I think Togekiss is my favorite Gen IV! It has an adorable design alongside being powerful. I think Drifloon is a close second for its design and description. The creepy backstories from Gen IV have helped it remain my favorite.
