  • U posted a good team build to me once, so I thought I'd ask for advice now for my online comptivitie team.
Here's what I have so far and I'm still deciding on ev spread and move sets for most.
Shuckle: suicide lead and entry hazzard layer
    Moves: stealth rocks
    Ha Excadrill: team spinner
Moves: earth quake and rapid spin
    Ha Talonflame: sweeper
Moves: brave bird, roost, flame charge
    Nature:careful
I want talonflame to be able to take some hits, though I know it cant survive long
And I'm trying to avoid using any legends or super rare pokes cause I don't have much to trade for them
Normally I wouldn't trade today since it's Tuesday, but I'll make this exception since you've been waiting for it. Can you go on now?
And you wanted Shiny Arceus, right?
I just wanna comment that you can paralyze Rock-types with Thunder Wave (as long as they're not part Ground-type). Only Electric- and Ground-types are immune to Thunderwave.
Yeah, try that and see if things go better. Personally I'd go with dancing Gatr so you have another wallbreaker. Boosted Aqua Jets are pretty nice. For Lando you might wanna consider putting those Defense EVs into Speed, you want it to be as fast as possible and your's is Adamant so it needs to make up for the loss of speed from not being Jolly. Though I'm not sure if an extra 9 Speed is gonna matter much.
Man I hate item clause. Such a stupid rule. With Roserade you could still use the offensive set but use Black Sludge instead of a LO. Gengar does that. If you use the defensive one though drop Spikes and throw in Toxic or something; entry hazards aren't as useful in Battle Spot Singles as they are in 6v6 Singles.

I kinda think that part of the problem might be that your team is relatively slow for the current meta, even though you have a poke with a priority move. It's not like slow Pokemon are bad, but hyper offense teams probably give you a hard time the way your team is now. I think that something that might be a good idea would be to have Lando-T go the ol' Scarf route for some Volturn action with Easy Bake Oven Rotom-H. And then throw in one of your Water types since they're both weak to that. I'd say Gatr since it packs Ice Punch.

Another thing to consider is having a second Mega. Normally you don't use 2 mega pokes on a singles team, but you can get away with doing that in Battle Spot Singles since you're only using half of your pokes and it's unlikely that you'll need both megas in the same battle.

    Idk, maybe this'll help, maybe it won't {XD}
I played a lot of Battle Spot Singles in XY (but not much in ORAS so far, gonna get back into that sometime). Whatcha need help with?
Yeah sure - if you want :D Fair warning though, I work and have class on wednesdays - so I will be home late. My train from downtown doesn't even get in until 10:20 PM my time :c So I'll be home around 10:30 most likely.
I do not :I I had thought he was around just about every day, but I'll throw him a message too, to see if he's about. If not, you can get a sub if he's unresponsive for .... 3-4 days I believe.
