yeaaah. T_T;;
I had been writing the long one since my first short VM reply. XD; I grew up in a whole bunch of big cities and most of them were pretty multicultural so I'm used to different races everywhere. I've never been a minority like I am at this school though, haha. I think it sort of depends on what school you go to though. The university literally just down the street from mine is like entirely white. @_@
(...y-you'd think that tenure would be overridden in those kinds of cases but I've heard so many horror stories about bad teachers. T_T; Unions are crazy strong when it comes to trying to fire salaried teachers. I'm all for unions when it comes to workers' rights but they make it too hard to fire a lot of people when they're bad at their job, imo. D:)
I'VE NEVER HAD A SNAPE TEACHER THANK GOD. Just... like... Lockharts, I guess. XD
hahaha I'm so glad my name isn't easy to pun. The worst I ever had to deal with was the fact that my name is in "America" but it's hard to make america jokes that would bother me in Canada haha. I don't know a whole lot about stlited houses though. I know they have them waaay up north so that houses aren't just resting on snow!
I've never seen that show. I... I think it started after I'd kind of stopped watching new cartoons. I AM SO BEHIND ON PRETTY MUCH EVERY DISNEY SHOW AFTER LIKE. THE WEEKENDERS. lmao. T_T; I think melatonin isn't even over-the-counter, it's just on the shelf. :> It helps regulate your sleep schedule so it's helpful for things like jetlag but works if you're just trying to get to sleep earlier and not sleep in as much.
I don't know where any settlements are but Canada kind of shipped pretty much all the natives off to reserves waaay back when and a lot are still stuck living on them and the conditions are just horrible. u_u; They're super poor because the government took all their land/assets way back when and haven't really given back very much as reimbursement. So everyone turned to alcoholism? I'm sure it's more complicated than that but I am not a history nut in any sense of the word. XD
Yup! Pretty much. Although they kept the "omg faith~~~~" stuff out of everything that wasn't religion class, I think. And... yeah, I've lived all over Canada. xD; I was born in Ontario, moved out west to Alberta, moved farther west to BC, then aaaaall the way out east to Nova Scotia, and finally back to Ontario. That was over a decade ago so I've been here a really long time but I did most of my "growing up" all over. I got very used to moving. @_@; Staying in one place for so long is just totally unknown to me, haha.
omg. the Westboro Baptist Church. They infuriate me. They are definitely the best example of doing it wrong. Their actions just absolutely disgust me. <_< I can't even imagine trying to mourn a loved one with them making noise in the backyard. UGH. It's awful and I don't know how they live with themselves for what they do. They are, at least, a very good example to the rest of the world--especially other Christians--of how not to practice religion. XD; I know a lot of people have sort of turned their ways around to become more accepting based solely on the Westboro peoples' actions. And I think there's a charity group that specifically takes donations and reroutes them to go directly to charities that the Westboro church opposes. XD; So at least some good comes of it, somehow?
Omg your dad is nuts. 8| And, well, wrong, because you have friends of ~DIFFERENT FAITHS~ and god hasn't personally come to smite you yet! Although, honestly, the mental image of people being struck by lightning every time they leave a hairdressers is kiiind of an amusing one. XD; You can always rant to meeee. <3 I will never judge.
Yeah, I can write pages and pages of content for PC posts and stuff but man sometimes it's so hard to write essays for school that are way shorter. XD; Religions are super interesting to learn about though! I took a class on Japanese religions last year in uni and it was the best course I've ever taken. SO interesting and so much fun. ... I... but... just... what. I know I hear about it like all the time--schools in the states not learning evolution--but... but I... :( omg. That's so ridiculous to me. If you don't want to learn evolution in Canada, you pretty much have to be homeschooled. I don't even understand the logic of not teaching it unless people are scared others will see that it makes so much more sense than the alternatives. <_<; I mean, I'm fine with religion but not teaching something that's pretty much... 100% accepted as truth around the world just because you don't agree with it? wtfffff.
I've only ever cosplayed once and it was really bad and half-assed (since I was like 13 and didn't know how to do a good job lol) but it was a lot of fun. I don't have the time/money/no-how to do cosplay but if someone made me costumes or something, I'd totally do it again. XD; nooo I need it! Well, I need it next month. Though probably not again for years after that. XD I am only like an hour-long loop up into Canada so I'm practically on the way! And I don't think Wii U controller will use batteries... it's probably gonna be internal rechargable batteries like PS3 controllers or handheld consoles. So just plug it in overnight and it'll recharge? If it does use batteries though... ugggh. @_@ I kind of hope KH doesn't go to Wii U so that I don't have a reason to buy one ever, lol.
Yeah, Miku was my introduction to vocaloids and I find her almost intolerable but her character design is so cute. XD; Haven't really given any of the others much of a chance. *...looks up Celsius conversion* oh my god. DDD: I melt in anything above 86 F. I'd just... never... leave the house... if it was that hot here.
I like lots from Gen 3! :> I love Nosepass (although I am one of like 3 people in the world who does), Spheal, Shroomish, Swablu/Altaria, Grovyle, and Wailord. :> A few more too but not as much as those ones. I like a lot of evolutions of 3rd gen Pokemon introduced in Gen 4 too.
Well, I kind of get why they put it in but... I don't like it and I kind of wish they didn't. Or wish they implemented it better in a way that doesn't force you to use the other until you've completed a set of worlds or something. T_T; Haha, it's true. The only reason to play Coded is to see the reason that Riku and Sora get called back at the end of KH2. @_@ And since the ending of Coded is the only important part... yeah. No point.
I've imported things for a few years now. Every KH game since KH2FM (except for Re:Coded because I decided to import Black instead!) and a few other games here and there. I actually know (...some) Japanese though so importing isn't thaaat big a deal. I don't understand people who import but can't read a word of it. W-wouldn't it ruin the experience to not have a clue what you're doing or what's going on? Wouldn't be too bad for like... the FMs in KH since the voices are all in English and I could even see it for Pokemon remakes like HGSS but why would you import new Pokemon games if you don't understand any of them? @_@; b-but I'm addicted to tumblr. T_T I don't think I could stay away that long hahaha. I'm horrible at avoiding the internet in any capacity which is why I insist on importing the KH games. I wouldn't be able to not spoil myself otherwise. XD;
I won an online match before! Only against friends who suck more than I do but still. And there was this one time Marluxia (my Cherrim <3) took out my friend's strongest EV trained Pokemon and all that. I didn't win the overall fight but everyone agrees the victory was mine because Marluxia actually kind of really sucks. XD;
DAMN RIGHT WE ARE. <3
