Yeah I know how pointers work but I can't seem to find the pointer in my rom some of the times and when I do I can't find the 20 3C 00 00

Anyway If u have it can u reupload advance cry that may would be helpful

i have a working sappy but when i go to the part where i have to find the pointer the 20 3C 00 00 is not before the pointer or i cant find my pointer thats what i need help with

I don't really know, I haven't used those routines. Try doing what I did in my routine and replace the dex area lines with

ldr r1, dex_malloc_ptr
ldr r1, [r1]
add r1, #0x42
ldrb r1, [r1]

and add
dex_malloc_ptr: .word 0x0203ACF0
to your pool.
