Sun

Given how the Fire Totem is Poison/Fire so will be very tricky for a Grass Team. The Bounsweet line is very weak until it reaches the final stage Tsareena and Dhelmise is quite late game. I can use Eevee but Leafeon isn't obtained until after the Grass trial. It will be a tricky playthrough for sure.

I plan to do a Grass Monotype once I get Moon. Sun will be my Shiny Hunting file as it is much easier to complete the Pokedex in Sun/Moon.

Incidentally my first SM Shiny was a chained Bounsweet. It is 4IV and now a Purple and yellow Tsareena. I managed to find a Shiny Rockruff (Now a Midday Lycanroc) too. :)

Not sure if that is the case, I do really like the Dark Vulture's design even if it's a little tricky to use. I plan to Shiny Hunt for a Vullaby when I get Moon.

I have completed my first playthrough with my Hall of Fame team being Tsareena, Primarina, Shiny Alolan Muk, Midday Lycanroc, Alolan Ninetales and Incineroar. Tsareena was the star of my team.

I am not a huge fan of Decidueye's design but plan to of course use one in my Grass Monotype.

Have you played Sun/Moon yet? If so how are you finding it?

Swellow's palette scheme is actually slightly different, haha. xD That Dartrix is dark brown and maroon red-ish, while Swellow's color is more like deep black (or is it blue??) and blood red. xD


Ahhh, so do you think the writers will ever revisit Kristoph's character? I haven't seen too much of the new characters yet, but I already really like Athena Cykes so far! :D

Good to hear! It's great it has been buffed a lot since the first gen. I tried using it as well one of the older generations and saying it was worthless is even an understatement...

Pokemon can be transferred from Bank in January which isn't too bad. I plan to do a Grass Monotype of Sun at some point after Bank opens. I do not really know what is in the Alohan Pokedex outside of version exclusives and Alohan forms.

Braviary is a Normal/Flying type in a game full of them. I far prefer it's version counterpart Mandibuzz. I really like the Dark Vultures design.

In my last Sinnoh Playthrough I had a whole team of Grass Pokemon. :)

I already have my initial Sun Team planned out but even though I plan to use Tsareena, I want a Lilligant on my team too. My planned team is Primarina, Day Lycanroc, Alohan Ninetales, Alohan Raichu, Lilligant and something else. I will have to trade for a Petilil.

There's a few of my favourite Pokemon that are not in the Alohan Dex which is a little annoying as I'll have to wait for Bank but at least I will be able to use Lilligant in my Sun game at some point after trading something.

I've never used Braviary but maybe it was given to her so she had a Flyer and a way of getting around in her team. It also contrasts well with my Unova bird Pokemon of choice Mandibuzz. Is Glaceon really that weak? Although talking of Cynthia's original team Gastrodon never gave me any problems, nor did Lucario for that matter.

For some reason the games release later here than everywhere else but when I get the game on Wednesday I am going to start with the adorable Popplio in my first playthrough. I really like Rockruff's Shiny form. Whilst I don't tend to Shiny hunt during an initial playthrough I hope I run into the Puppy Pokemon's Shiny Form. :)

My parents wouldn't let me have those, so nope. :/ Had to do it all with emulators so far.

I don't own any Nintendo device, but plan to buy one along with Moon. So yeah, haven't had the chance to play those yet, but I maybe will at some point.

I haven't played XY (see above) so I don't know exactly what you're referring to. xP But thanks a lot nevertheless!

Let's see... platypus, hammerhead shark, dolphin, narwhal, swordfish. Lot's of potential for water types alone. And instead we get yet another fish, haha.
I haven't played Gen VI, so I wouldn't know. But we'll see what Gen VII will bring us. It's not too long any more now. =)

Short version? We're fucked.

Well, I still haven't played XY, so I wouldn't know. They might be running out of ideas by now for Pokémon. I mean, they already got to the part where they started to recycle old Pokémon and just changed their types. With all the things they've been changing and adding, SM will either be really cool or totally meh. Not sure which.

I actually haven't seen too many spoilers but can't help but be happy that I won't have to wait for the Bank to use my favourite Pokemon.

I am unsure which starter to pick though. I love both Rowlet's and Popplio's line. Since I am likely to have at least one Grass type on my team anyway in Tsareena I kay pick the Water Starter for my first playthrough and use Rowlet for my Grass Monotype later on.

Cynthia probably has the best team no weak members. She has a great design and a female Garchomp. Fittingly my Shiny Garchomp (Naughty Nature) is also female as is my Gen 5 PWT winning Garchomp. In Gen 5 (And probably Gen 4 the Mach Pokemon was arguably overpowered.)

Random note - I found a Shiny Psyduck in a hoard. I really like the blue colour and will likely leave it unvoiced.

I don't exactly have time to play games all the time either but I'd set some time aside to play Sun when it comes out. :)
