  • I haven't actually talked to anyone who's heard of it before! :) The series seems to be more on the Atelier Annie end of things these days, which is still good but I really enjoyed the Atelier Iris trilogy.

Oh, you have Moon version too! Which PS4 games are you playing?
Ah, it's a shame it didn't quite capture what the other games were like - I was tempted to give it a go so I could play with a backlight, but maybe not!
Yes, playing Moon alongside replaying Atelier Iris :) How about you?
Thank you! Oh, I remember those :D I only played the first one, but it was fun. Didn't they release one for the DS at some point?
Hello :) I was just wondering who the characters in your signature were. They look familiar!
I am sorry this response is so belated. I ended up moving back home and the process has been a bit involved. Either way, I'm so glad you were enjoying the game! Perhaps you've finished it by now or not, but I couldn't agree with you more. I love how the game makes it feel like there isn't really a "main character." Every character has their own interesting backstory and gets a good amount of screen time.
Just wanted to say that your Ichinose avatar is cool, and by extension, you're cool.

    Never stop being cool, Blade.
Hey, no worries. It's cool that you're putting it aside until you can really focus on it and enjoy it for what it is. :) I recently bought Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon and it should have come in today, so I'm hoping that will be fun to play. Work has been so slow and there are only so many interesting youtube videos to watch, haha.
Great! I'm excited for you. xD Keep me up to date, of course. I'll be trying to hook up my television and dust off my PS2. I'm not sure if it will work because I haven't used it in years. I wish they would release classic PS2 games for the Vita or something. I'd definitely buy the Vita then.
Ah, of course. Shipping wait times, how could I forget? I'm currently waiting for a shipment for a special Legend of Korra sweatshirt. I've been waiting about a month so far, but it will be worth it. Christmas will be upon us soon, so I'll have to worry about getting my gifts for others on time as well. xD
The general consensus for anyone who has played the whole series is that Episode II is the weakest because of the drastic change in both battle system and art direction + voice acting. It was just way too different from Episode I and people did not expect it. Episode III was a breath of fresh air because the art style seemed to be very concrete and agreeable while the battle system was fine-tuned and easier to handle. One thing that is agreed upon, as far as I know, is that the music for all three games is consistently amazing.

I had a hard time with Episode II, honestly. I don't even remember if I finished it, but I'm pretty sure I almost did. I really have to go back and play it all. Have you made any progress in Episode I?
Congratulations, I think it will definitely be worth it. :) Keep me posted on anything you think is interesting and want to talk about.

I would just be guessing to answer your question, but I suppose it could be a number of reasons. It could represent the characters growing older, if not physically (MOMO, Jr, KOS-MOS, Ziggy) then mentally maturing as well. It may also be the directors wanted to shift the art direction, maybe to just test the waters or experiment. I've heard Xenosaga was just supposed to be a template for Xenogears, but I've never looked into that to see if it's true. I like to think of Xenosaga as its own series. Xenosaga II's art style was a bit less appealing to most people, but I can still appreciate it. It's like watching a pet or a child grow up. They start out cute and fun and then they go through an awkward phase, perhaps, and then they've fully matured into something great. I think that best represents Xenosaga I, II, and III. What do you think?
The OST definitely put me on a nostalgia trip, so I can relate. I can't imagine it being too expensive these days - keep me updated! I hope you're enjoying Yo-kai Watch as well. :)
I wouldn't feel bad about it. Some people dislike the games for being slow-paced and monotonous, but you get to play as a pokemon and friendship is a heartwarming lesson in the series. I would try one out some day if you get the chance, or if you don't plan on it perhaps you could watch a Let's Play of one.
Such a difficult question. Godsibb is probably my most favorite track. Yuki Kajiura's compositions are breathtaking. Final Battle from the first game is actually quite soothing. The song Hepatica - KOS-MOS can still bring me to tears. Not even jesting on that last one there. All highly recommended and if you listen to them, let me know what you think. :)

I just saw that yesterday on my 3DS in the store. I wanted to purchase Super Mystery Dungeon, but my 3DS has no more space. :/ I hope the game is enjoyable for you though!
I loved that theme as well! Now most likely because of the intense nostalgia, but as soon as you mentioned it I already have the whole thing playing in my head. :) Are you currently playing anything?
I'm unsure about the PSN. The only console I own now is a PS2 I don't use anymore and my computer. Perhaps those people simply wanted to play a game instead of experiencing a story. It is very dialogue-heavy and the story is complex, so I would understand. I'm glad you can look back on it and say you enjoyed it, though. Look up the OST too, if you'd like - it is truly incredible.
I hope you find the time to finish the Xenosaga games some day. I don't know many people who have played them. Let's chat about the games when you do!
Same, I would love to replay it. I have my copy of the game and it works and everything too, and my PS3 is one of the older ones with the backwards PS2 compatibility so I could play it, but with all these newer games I'm playing in my limited free time, I just haven't gotten around to it :( I think I picked it up when I was younger because of Kingdom Hearts too! I saw the Japanese art style and "Hearts" in the title and bought it just based on that haha
