There is the two of us, one of my friends (that's not on PC), and another that I know are interested, and I can probably get a couple of the Challenge Regulars to join in. They like doing stuff like this.
I think Nidoking would be the best Pokemon to use as a solo for a couple of reasons. First, you can get him really early in the game. As in, before you fight the first not rival battle trainer. That's always helpful. Secondly, he has enough early game attacks to easily gain levels (Basically all you need at the beginning of the game is Horn Attack). As soon as you evolve him to Nidorino, he can easily handle all the Rock types you fight with Water Gun. Thirdly, he is well equipped with attacks. He has access to Earthquake, Rock Slide, Strength, Surf, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Hyper Beam if you want it. Also, he is only weak to Water, Ice, Ground, and Psychic. There are not many Ground or Ice attacks being used at all in the game (with the exception of Loreli's Ice moves) so you really just have to worry about Water Pokemon (who you have Thunderbolt for) and Alakazams (being the only strong Psychic Pokemon in the game, but he has almost 0 defense, so if you're faster you can OHKO with Earthquake/Rock Slide/Strength)
Now, as far as charts and maps and stuff, I already have two very helpful things. I mentioned the map before, if you PM me your e-mail address I'll send it to you, as I don't know of any file sharing capabilities PC has. The other is a complete list of stats that all Pokemon belonging to gym leaders, gary whenever you fight him, giovanni, and elite four. I cheated and used an infinite masterball and a catch trainer pokemon gameshark codes, and then I wrote down the stats. I think it really is only going to be useful for like the speed of your rival's Alakazam/Loreli's Gengars. But hey, still useful.
