Every time I've moved school I've always managed to have somebody I know with me. It has gotten to the point where the only time I went to a new school and didn't know anybody was when I started in kindergarten XD

I have no idea apart from learning basic nouns and verbs, that's probably why I'm so bad at other languages XD

I had to do two years of languages in High School, so I chose French and Japanese. I'm terrible at learning new languages so I was glad when they were no longer compulsory. Have you done any? :D

So you're a math/sciencey guy, I hope you're good at them because you will get into some very advanced theories later on in your schooling if my experience is anything to go by. I am (and always will be) a history nut :D

I found working as soon as I got home from school to be pretty relaxing - It helps take your mind off other things and keeps your mind running. I can understand being tired out, but I hope you get used to it :P
