Hey I was browsing through that thread and saw someone say that daytime shows getting 10k+ sales is very difficult. And in the past five years, only FMAB and Gintama managed it.

Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside lmao. At least now I know a Gintama sequel is guarenteed. :D And I searched for more but no details - concrete - on Noragami. D:

Well, people won't say 'I hope it maintains a 4-5k sales' if they were just estimates. :p Those guys know more about this stuff so idk. I'm just gonna assume that's how much it sells unless I get concrete proof.

People are talking about its sales here. And apparently it sells like 4k-5k per volume. Also, apparently, according to some people there, the manga pulishers of noragami have a tendency to ask studios to do S2 of their series if the manga sales increase a lot. THERE IS SOME HOPE.

Anime always give manga a push. SnK's volumes got a HUGE boost. And it even came close to beating One Piece's (it is unbeatable in japan. Sales were 37 million in 2011. Equivalent to sum of total sales of every manga from rank 2 to rank 8) total manga sales in 2013 (OP was 18 million and SnK was very close to 16 mil. Third series didn't even touch 10 million and Naruto was in the 4-5 milion range lol). But now SnK isn't selling as amazingly. Anime makes a huge difference.

I just hope the anime dvds and bds do well.

No sister, I was asking about its anime volume sales. Doubt it is selling like 9000 units that KlK is doing but it has to sell at least 5000-6000 per volume for a second season to have any hope, imo. Then again, it all depends on the budget. It doesn't seem like the budget was astronomical like KyoAni shows or Shaft's Monogatari series so I think 5-6k units should be considered a success.

Umm, so to make sure you don't require anything else and its okay to watch 86 and 87 now, I kinda went to my cafe and watched them. I stopped halfway during 87 and came back home as I was afraid of emarassing myself in public...

Although I did manage to confirm it. All you need to know is that there are police guys, one called toshi (the cigarette guy. Vice chief) and another the rocket guy (sougo okita. A sadist) and that the latter always tries to kill the former for some reason. I hope you enjoy it! Be sure to tell me what you thought of it. And oh, noragami 11 apparently came out. I can't watch it till like 18-20 more hours tho

And they're excellent arcs. Not quite as bombastic and action-y or dramatic as some other arcs but still quite great. Wait no, Sougo's sister arc (86-87) is the only arc which made me literally cry so I guess it is the best dramatic arc. :p

Also, I don't exactly remember if this is 100% true for ep 86-87 but you probably won't have any problems or will miss any context if you watch those two arcs. I recently watched 186-187 and I only felt you needed to know rocket guy and the yorozuya trio for it.

And and I think I'll stick with slow ass scanlations. Summaries pages' images won't load for some reason and I missed out on a lot of stuff due to it

Dog makes his appearance in episode 10. The next one, lol. Also, since you mention the rocket guy being a fave, go watch episode 86-87. First watch 86-87. Then 186-187. And then continue from episode 11. Those two arcs concentrate on rocket guy and will make you appreciate the character a LOT more,

Sorry, its just the Human jealousy condition that I embrace manifesting itself in my love for a series. Hence the character projection I do a lot hahahahaha
