There was no pause in it when I said it. Maybe when you read it, but that's not how I said it. Estis ne pauzxo en gxi kiam mi diris gxin. Kiam vi legis eble gxin, escepte estas ne kiel mi diris gxin.

The comma isn't necessary in the English sentence. La komo ne estas necese en la frazo angla.
