I started out with a similar issue to another recent thread (where running playtest only shows a black screen with no errors). It's been a few days and I haven't seen any fixes for that, so I played around with RPG maker a bit more to try and troubleshoot. Running anything else through RPG Maker...

Whenever I try to playtest or directly run Game.exe, the popup screen is black. I know it isn't a problem with RPG Maker, because when I've started a new project, playtesting works. I saw someone else posted about this issue but didn't get any fixes. There are also no error codes that come up...

I'm having the same issue. Playtesting with a fresh game works fine, but running Essentials does nothing. Did you figure out how to fix this or are you still having problems with it too?
