Hehe, it's fine, I actually saw your comment on your profile, but I'm trying to work so I postponed answering. I honestly don't know what's wrong with me, maybe it's all the extra hours and the pressure, but I feel like we're going nowhere with our project. Even with all the hard work, I feel like we're never going to make the deadline, and that the release is going to be a disaster. I don't believe in our project anymore, and without any motivation, I just can't work. Something good has to happen soon :(

So we had a power outage for a couple of hours, but luckily I had my laptop and 3DS batteries full, so we survived, hehe.

The Pokemon clubs mods are trying out a new type of club. Most are usually fan clubs for various types, and sometime the enthusiasm dies out after a while, so they've opened a Trainers' club where people can actually chat about their adventures. It only opened yesterday, so I hope it'll get some attention soon. It's right here, if you wanna join us.

Even from attacks that aren't super effective? I've never used Scolipede or Volcarona before, so I really don't know how the fare in the game. My only Bug type was Leavanny, and she was great as an attacker, but she has too many weaknesses, so she requires some planning.

Funny thing is that I do have a couple of dresses. The last time I wore a summer dress was on our 4 year anniversary, my boyfriend was indeed surprised, hehe.

What I do is I first boil the potatoes, and when they're almost done, I put in the broccoli and boil them together for another 5-10 minutes max. Then I drain almost all the water and add milk and butter and mash them together. Season it and it's done. I actually leave small pieces of broccoli in the mash, I like the crunchy stems too. I heard that a lot of the nutrients are lost through boiling though, so I may try microwaving the potatoes and broccoli next time, though I've never done it before.

Hamburglar {XD} But I also eat a lot of ice cream, even though it hurts my teeth afterwards, and for some reason I really love mayo. I love mayo so much :(

Things are fine, though it's pouring outside, so we'll probably spend the day indoors. My boyfriend is still sleeping, even though it's past 12 PM, and I'm getting hungry from all the food talk too, hehe. How's your Sunday?

I totally invented that word, didn't I? Well, it's not like I couldn't live without them, I'm not like that with clothes. But, I did see a really pretty shirt that I wanted, but I decided not to buy it when I saw the price tag. Way too expensive, I would've payed that money for shoes or jeans or a coat, but not for a flimsy, almost see-through cloth.

No, I love jeans! I feel more comfy in jeans than I ever will in a skirt. I only wear dresses on occasions, or in the autumn/winter, with wool tights. That's the girliest I can get, hehe. I've been trying to get out of my comfort zone, but even the dressiest of my shirts looks great with jeans, so it's fine for now. Besides, my workplace doesn't have a dress code, so I'd feel weird if I went for anything more dressy.

I rarely cook, but when I do, I don't use any artificial flavors in my food. I found that herbs work wonders. E.g. if you don't like the way broccoli tastes, you can add a little oregano or basil. I'm not a fan of broccoli by itself actually, but I make mashed potatoes and broccoli, as in actually mashing them together. The florets give a really nice texture too, and with a bit of butter or milk, and a pinch of basil, it tastes great. Well, it isn't as tasty as a cheeseburger. You got me, cheeseburgers are my guilty pleasure do not leave me alone in a McD's

I hope so too. We'll just have to wait and see.

And I did! We went shopping today, and I got a couple of new girly and flowy shirts, since most of my summer shirts look like I'm about to hit the gym. I still can't give up jeans, but it's a start, right? And just now we had a garden salad for dinner, to keep it light and healthy. They say you are what you eat, and well, I'd much rather be a tomato than meat patty, hehe.

Sylveon is adorable. You know, I've never had an Eeveelution, I think maybe at some point I'll go Eevee catching in Castelia and then get a full Eeveelutions team. And then... well, just that would be nice {XD}

Hmm, I'm not sure yet. For the moment, I'd go for X, because I like Xerneas more than Yveltal, but I can't really decide right now, because they didn't show any other version exclusives yet. Though I'm also expecting to be some other differences, like they did with BW's Opelucid and Black City/White Forest. Either way, I'm really excited too, can't wait for October :)

Nope. The only Pokemon merchandise I've ever seen was back when I was a kid and they were showing the original anime on TV. We were pretty crazy about it, and at some point there were 7DAYS croissants with Pokemon stickers. I actually had a sticker album and was collecting them. That's how I know the original 151, hehe. After that though, the Pokemon craze completely stopped. I heard they started showing the Advanced Generations (or was it DP?) anime on TV at some point, but it never got as huge as back then.

Oh, and they don't sell cards in my country, so I've never had any. I only play TCGO, well, played at least.

Venoshock also deals double damage if the opponent is poisoned, so it seems good combined with Toxic Spikes. I used Venoshock on my Poison Touch Seismitoad, though it was pretty much hit and miss. If you're not sure about certain TMs, you can always check bulbapedia to see when you can get them and which Pokemon can learn them.

I think I'm gonna play at the PWT too, work on those Leaders tourneys, hehe.

I decided I won't be doing the TCG challenge after all, because I got a BW booster pack and all 10 cards where Gen 5 Pokemon, so I wouldn't be able to play any of the older games.

Yup, that's right. You can't do anything about a wild Pokemon's IVs, but you can influence them through breeding. The baby will always inherit three different IVs from the parents. Furthermore, if you give one of the parents a power item, the IV of the stat that power item influences will get passed down to the parent. E.g. if your Gothita has 30 IV in Sp. Atk., you can give it a Power Lens before breeding, and the baby will automatically have 30 IV in Sp. Atk. as well. The baby also inherits two other random IVs, like I said before. The other three IVs are still random though. Oh and you can also pass down natures through breeding. If you give one of the parents an Everstone, the baby will inherit that parent's nature.

Once you strip it down to the basics, it's pretty straightforward.

A Pokemon has a set of base stats, that are the same among the whole species and you can check on bulbapedia or where ever. E.g. Gligar has 85 base Speed. What makes one Gligar different from another are its nature and individual values (IVs). These are determined when you encounter it in the wild or receive the egg, and are random, so you can't really chose them. Well, you can influence them through breeding, if you use the right items, but that's pretty much it.

What a trainer can do is effort value (EV) training. Each Pokemon you defeat gives a certain number of EVs in a certain stat. These are also dependent on species, e.g. if your Gligar defeats a Patrat, it gets 1 EV in Atk, or if it defeats a Purloin miau it gets 1 EV in Speed. And 4 EVs = 1 point in that respective stats. So 40 Patrat = 10 Atk. Note that you can only get a max of 510 EVs in total, and 255 EVs in a stat -- though you only need 252 to max out, since it'll be divided by 4 and rounded down.
