  • Type 1 is in my mother's family's genes. And Type 2 from my biological father's family. D;

    My mother, both of my aunts (my uncle lucked out), and 2 cousins also have it, in addition to my grandpa having had it. And that's just on my mom's side. D;

    My grandpa had ended up with both of his legs amputated by the end of his life, had a heart attack or two, and a litany of other problems within those last years. Dx

    I sometimes get the feeling I got the short shaft in genetics. At least I don't smoke or drink. D;
    D:

    My grandpa was poor from living the last 12 years of his life on his pension and government healthcare because he was unfit to work from Diabetes complications. D;
    I'm going to a 2-year public technical college, though (it really seems to want to turn itself into a community college, though Dx). Mine is pretty cheap, and most 4-year schools charge at least $13,000 a year, including publicly owned ones here in the US. One of the private technical colleges was looking for $42,000 for one of their 4-year degrees. No way I can afford that. Dx
    My degree is going to cost me a total of around $13,000, including loan interest payments.
    Well... my credits are about... $120 apiece. But this is post-secondary schooling, not secondary schooling. Dx

    I've technically got... 47 credits left, but should have 31 credits left in a few weeks. (b'-')b

    Public schooling in Minnesota is actually good, unlike some US states. (b'-')b
    I am also looking into a job for this coming fall, so I can continue to live at home and drive to school.
    Well, I'm trying to pad my resume (still too lazy to find that accented "e") as much as I can.

    I had a data entry job, worked as a youth basketball referee, worked at a sandwich shop, held an overnight temp job, and currently have my internship, my schooling, and this volunteer work in a hospital gift shop. Those last 3 also happen to consume a lot of my time.
    I didn't need any... it was a way to put some more experience on my resume to make me more appealing to hire.
    It was broken for a good hour last night while I was fiddling with my signature. Dx

    And I'm gonna be heading out in a bit... volunteering time. (b'-')b
