Well I always thought you should evolve him as early as possible because it's defense wouldn't be as high the later on you do it. o_O;;

Lol I wish I had Pokemon Box..I hear you get cool stuff the more Poke's you have in it. My boyfriend has Pokemon Battle Revolution though, so I got Pikachu that know surf and volt tackle and have a light ball equiped. Too bad you can't breed them so that the offspring know surf too. o_x;; *dies*

I would say yes definitely, only because when Pokemon are evolved they get an ev boost in all their stats, plus I think as a Raichu it'll get a little more in the defense area, since I know Pikachu's defense isn't really that good. ;)
