  • That's an easy one. I definitely can't wait for the completely 3D world. I'd also like to see the 3D battle scenery a little more.
Yo. I like your avatar, now that I think about it. It's the coloring. Where'd you get that? Also, your profile pic is pretty cool, too (though it doesn't look like a Pokemon anymore and instead it's just... something from any series).
My avatar right now is Mu La Flaga from gundam seed, and my user title is his nickname of sorts, earned after killing 5 Mobile suits with only one mobile armor (usually it takes 5 mobile armor to kill 1 mobile suit).

And yeah, I feel better now, thanks for the smile :)
Sorry, I've been really busy and I haven't had the motivation to post too much because I had gotten bored with Pokemon, and I knew earlier I would probably become active again when the new generation was announced, and in-fact I probably will xD

    I appreciate your concern :)

Kind of all over the place. Some of it in school, some of it in non academic classes, most of it just by observation, some by professional illustrators and animators who take the time to teach, some of it from how to draw books.

My own personal style is like a mash of everything I've been inspired by, and the way I eventually wanted to draw. I used to draw in a more on (official) model sort of way, especially when it came to Pokemon, but that bored me to death. I've found that by drawing them in a way that I really enjoy, I really like the way the works come out, too. I'm mostly inspired by art styles from the 1920s and some such, which is probably my biggest influence.
Last time I ever recall making an angry post was probably a decade ago. But then again, it was my first time on a forum and I was pretty young back then. I feel like I'm too old to get that worked up over anything except for stuff that's happening around me iRL. Online, it's just not that important.

I'm usually always relaxed or better online, even though tone is hard to notice over the internet. Even if it sounds like I'm ranting, it's really more of just an opinion, but I'm not really feeling any emotions at the moment. If there's something I don't necessarily care for, I just ignore it. There's no sense in trying to be confrontational, because (1) it eats up to much of your precious time to bother with (2) it's just an opinion more often than not. We all have things we don't agree on, I'm sure every has said something that may have struck a nerve with someone else even when unintended, and didn't even realize it, (3) you're usually not going to change that person's mind or PoV, (4) I try to see it from all sides, and (5) more often than not, the only reason people get upset over anything is because of a breakdown in communication. It's either misinterpretation, or the poster in question didn't write what they really meant in the best way possible, and may have opted for a shorter, less explanitory post. If you really must respond, I'd ask them to elaborate rather than exclaim "them's fightin' words". If you have good reasons to back up your argument, present them clearly and try to keep a positive or neutral tone at best. You will never convince anyone about anything in a negative voice. Then there's trolls, but you either ignore them or laugh with/at them and move on.

If you're reason for signing up anywhere is to enjoy yourself, you might as well, right?

It's one thing to take a stance for something and defend your claims, and there's nothing wrong with differing opinions and having good discussion, but as for anything potentially inflammatory, I just stay out of it. I also stay out of anything taboo or controversial, but that's more because I can't be bothered to talk about it anyway. I'm mostly on a Pokemon forum to (sort of) talk about Pokemon anyway, to the best of my ability, at least. :) I recognize I'm not great at it (better than everyone in my class, though, surprisingly), but hey, I like one of these new X/Y Pokemon, that counts for something. The Vulpix knockoff, however, is unforgivable.

Yes, that's a joke. :P Just to be clear, haha, I actually never care about that kind of stuff. If anything, I have my favorite Pokemon, and everyone else is usually just there at the worst. The only thing I actually don't care for is making something over the top and complicated for the sake of being over the top and complicated, but that's just because it doesn't make sense in the scope of animation, which once you understand is my background, becomes easier to say "ok, I can see why he says that".
God, the evolutions...I hope they don't screw up with this gen. :| I don't like any of the final evos in gen V. And I think Emboar got the most hate because it was the third Fire starter to get slapped with the Fighting second type. Ugh.
The froggie is cute tho!! And yeah, much better than last gen it seems. XD
This is probably the first time I've actively participated in discussing a new game. I stayed away from Platinum, HGSS, BW, and BW2 stuff, if that tells you how long I've avoided it. XD I'm actually excited for once. :3 And I do liek foxez!
I'm personally becoming more of a 360 guy. I used to have a PS3 and a Wii. I've sort of given up MMOs, but still stay in contact with people I've met via MMO.

As for my favorite generation, I like gen III best because it was the first region that felt like mine. I was still a little too young when gen II came out. Plus some of my favorite pokemon have come out of gen 3. Yeah, you're right though. From the little that's been revealed about VI, it looks pretty awesome.
Well, don't sweat it. Overall, I think you'll come around only when you want to anyway. Some people find it hard to find enough motivation for a long time, but hey, there's no reason to practice on your own time when you can. No one has to see what you sketch. I think that's just a motivation method to keep artists drawing, like on tumblr or other blogs. It... doesn't work for me, though.

I do like the colors, very fall like, and it matches the new youtube video (which I haven't seen yet, but noticed). But I think I like the old scheme a little more, even if I don't exactly remember what colors were used. This one might be better, I wouldn't rely on my scattered memory too much.
Oh, yeah I'm sorry. My computer crashed, right now I'm on my IPod, so yeah, the sprites that I was doing were lost, I'm soo sorry. :(
    Hi there~
I want to thank you for the warm welcome and am glad to see somebody who likes Owl City as well. As for the rest of my music, most of the stuff I listed is either older (Bon Jovi and the Stones) or unpopular so it doesn't surprise me that you don't know much of them lol.
I think we have a lot in common in that we may seem outwardly deceptive. I often don't show much emotion (unless I'm playing a sport for my school, in which case I can be totally hot-headed) and that can lead to looking less-than-sociable despite the opposite being the truth.

Your love for animals is pretty cool. I'm fascinated by animals, but could never bring myself to dedicate myself to them like that. I don't have it in me. I commend you for that.

As for SSB, I was an avid Brawler before I traded my Wii in (still adapting to that) I was always Fox or Pit. Now I just stick with Melee, where I use Fox and Zelda.

You said you're interested in video games. Are you just into console-based games? MMOs? Which generation of Pokemon games is your favorite? Sorry if my question-asking is overwhelming.

    Thanks again for the welcoming~

    -Michael
The latter is really, really, really, really, really time consuming if you want to do it the "right" way. Which, to me, is the only way. Still, sometimes it has a payoff.

As for illustration, what exactly are you stuck on? You should, if you have anything, post something to the A & D board, and maybe you could get some helpful feedback. :) I mean, no pressure, I can understand if you'd rather not, I'm not trying to plug that part of the forum.
