  • Sound navigation mainly leads to having 1) sounds play after certain things, such as movements, ledges, bonking into things, grass, 2) sounds playing at certain objects, such as trees, doors, people, items making sounds, and 3) using panning sounds to help people navigate through corridors and mazes. Pokemonmasteraaron helped a lot with that sort of design. He's actually designed Pokemon-like engines before, but they didn't have battling. It worked a little bit differently than mine as well. But yeah, that's the basic design. It requires slightly modified maps to accommodate the sounds (pallet town for example is a lot bigger than the original games).
Well, that's kind of a weird question honestly. To be honest, the two years before this one were riddled with confusion, and I basically just took general education classes. I'm currently part of a paid apprenticeship program, which is pretty sweet, and afterwards I aim to get my associates. I'm concerned that I won't be able to afford a bachelors, so I want to at least have SOMETHING, especially considering that the required courses I'm taking do not transfer to the local university towards computer science for some reason...

The job is actually pretty cool. But it's infuriating right now because some idiot on the other side of the company decided to hog up the system logs, and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it along with a coworker. The logs are nigh inaccessible right now due to the sheer number of logs it's taking in. Like, wtf. Also, my stuff randomly broke down with me making no changes. I was NOT happy this morning.

You should be careful! That sounds like a nasty fever dude.

I built it from the ground up. Pokemon is mainly menus and navigation. The menus were easy, but the navigation required a lot of sound design. Menus can be easily navigated with text-to-speech software and a keyboard. I built it in game maker because I suck it's almost a year now since I started, and I'm at around Cerulean city. I tested it around some blind people I happen to know personally (I'm actually kind of in a relationship with one right now lmao). Did you know there's actually a blind developer on Pokecommunity? He's not very active, but his name is "Pokemonmasteraaron" or something like that. He has only light perception, but is quite the talented programmer. Speaking of which, that guy I'm with, he's also very talented himself, although he needs to work on the readability of his code lmao
Hahaha, nah, I haven't, I'm not super social with anyone on PC.

I've been great, honestly. I recently got hired into an IT company in Southfield. I'm an internal developer who writes little snazzy javascript in Service-Now. wooo I also built a Pokemon game for visually impaired people but I've put it to the side for a bit for finals.
I was known by several names in the past, like "Corvidae", "Charon the Ferryman" and "Pokemon Jupiter Version". In fact, you were on a forum I was admin for a ways back - Golden Sun Hacking Community, but that was ages ago.
Then I'll give it a look when I'm not swamped in essay writing (Honestly why I'm on this website sometimes is just to procrastinate...) I wholeheartedly agree about that being the basis of an argument. It's sort of the whole point of debate and discourse. I mean... the way I was openly trolling the forum may sort of give the wrong impression but I do put high regard to how communication and sharing ideas can help improve your own mindset. If it wasn't for opening my mind and talking to people who had different experiences/opinions than my own I wouldn't be the man that I am today, and truth be told I rather like who I am lol.

A part of it is emotional, because I find a lot of MRA issues tend to grate on my nerves and seems very near-sighted in the long run. But I think what you're saying is well-sounded and has good intentions. I'll think on it a bit, maybe even talk to you on something on it a bit later. Thanks for responding to my message.
While I do appreciate the time you've taken to respond to me, I personally do not respond to MRAs on feminism because I find the conversation very taxing and that ultimately it's sort of a waste of my time. Do you still identify as a MRA? Because if so, well I won't. I guess it's just a courtesy to tell you. If you don't... then I'll definitely look at it.

Could you do me a favor and never cease to be awesome?

    Thanks.
It surrounds a guild of mages in another world. Basic fantasy setting but the magic-based way of life makes the society...different. Mages are seen as celebrities, even though pretty much anyone can be one. It's like music in our world - tons of musicians are on the street, underground, or just somewhat famous, then there are the mainstream and legendary musicians that get glomped by paparazzi 24/7. The Fairy Tail guild is like that. They're the most popular of all mage guilds.

I like it because it makes people look at guilds differently. Playing MMOs for about 10 years, I've seen just how terrible and sickening guilds can be. I pretty much gave up hope for there to ever be any guilds that truly were like...family, where everyone stuck to everyone else no matter what. That is, until I read Fairy Tail. Although I've never seen a Fairy Tail guild in any MMO that actually operated in that same way, it just shows that Fairy Tail is one of a kind ^^

I'd really suggest reading it. If you like the Nasuverse, you'll definitely like Fairy Tail. Oh, and uh... Read it. Don't watch it.
Shantae doesn't have boy parts... though I guess she could if she used magic.
Hmmm nice... I'll try to figure out things then. The whole educational system in my country is much different from the USA, but I guess your tips apply. I'll need to know the pros and cons of CS and CE in my country. At first I was leaning toward CS because I think it being software-focused makes it generally more useful to my intents and purposes, but (correct me if I'm wrong) most of the programming disciplines should be in CE as well...

I'll wait until 8.1 to update my Windows, then.

BTW I loved your explanations of the Windows systems in that thread. I'm no IT so I can only give you or someone else the perspective of the user. The experience varies, but for example I never had many problems with the 95 series apart from ME which seemed more unstable than the rest. From a hardware point of view, XP was a leap too big IMO, because of the steeper memory requirements, and many games which were coded for 98 didn't run well on XP, making it a hassle to try and find solutions on the web. I stayed with XP for nine(?) years, though, because it was like you said, it was what worked best, and Vista had too many bugs and even bigger system requirements. I'm very satisfied with 7, though. After I deactivated the UAC nanny, everything goes silk smooth.
