Yeah, grinding can become a chore, depending on how much you have to do and how quick it goes. Unless progress is torturously slow, I can keep going for hours though, as I've gotten used to it. One thing you could try is just adjusting encounters to the highest point then continuing through the story, hoping you'll get enough EXP between battles to carry you through. I like levelling schedules, though; makes me more confident about my chances of victory and spreads the levelling around~

I could do, although I actually have yet to finish it myself...I got bored repeating the ending so I picked up...something else. Atelier Meruru Plus, I think. I might go back to it soon though!
I didn't find Bravely Default so bad difficulty wise...but then, I mass-abused the random encounter function; I'd crank it up to max to grind for hours, then drop it and blaze through the story. I wish every JRPG had that function, it'd make life so much easier!
Lack of direction in games is aggravating sometimes...as it means you either struggle or look it up on Gamefaqs, and I've never been very good at juggling my laptop with a game I'm playing. I might wait a bit longer for now, then - I've got my hands full with Diablo III where tedious questing is concerned; I need variety. xD

Yeah, I think you might want to check out Unity. That's the program that I use most of the time. Also it not only allows you to make PC and Mobile games, but Console games too.

I've not looked up prices, although I can't imagine them being any cheaper to go from the UK, regardless of who you fly with. I don't have the confidence to go abroad by myself at the moment anyway, or the necessary health. xD

I'm awful at fighting, puzzle, racing and sports games, so I avoid them like the plague...give me an insanely hard, grindy JRPG any day, ahaha.
Backloggery is so much fun! I have games from November of last year I've not played yet...going for platinum trophies means things take longer than they should, and I tend to focus on one game at a time, ahaha. Is Fantasy Life any good? I was considering getting it at some stage...
